What do you think is the easiest/fastest source to complete this gen ed requirement? Im leaning towards clep because its a straight 6cr for one test. And its only $80 to boot. I was hoping study.com had a course, they do, but its not accredited; im going to use it as study material. Any other options?
Sl will probably take forever...plus you have to take two separate courses and spend atleast 2-3 hundred...maybe more if you opt for their "deluxe" courses. The rest of the sources might take awhile.
Is the tecep easier? Probably not. We have penn foster, but that might take too long. The way i see it; i can simply master the ic of en comp, utilize alternative study material, schedule a clep and pass.. seems like the best avenue. Thank you for your help

I did the CLEP College Comp w/ essay and it wasn't too terribly difficult to me. I think it's likely the fastest and easiest way to knock the English requirements out. The only thing I hated was waiting for the results to come in the mail since it took time to grade the essays. But the REA book and the Instantcert flashcards were more than enough for me to prepare and pass the CC CLEP. Of course, the specific exam feedback forum you get access to when you subscribe to Instantcert is very helpful as well.

Thank you for solidifying my decision to go this route. I wasn't sure because there's so many options. If anyone else has any input, it would be greatly appreciated. I am cramming for this one.

I took the English Comp II TECEP, it was not difficult. But I agree that the CLEP is probably your best bet, especially in terms of financially if you need I & II - I am down to really needing those TECEP's, and this was an easy pass for me (plus I already had taken English Comp I a million years ago).

Has anyone completed SL english comp 1&2? Someone told me that it's hard to fail because most of the courses are open book, so you can pass even if you fail the finals. That sounds appealing when you think of the risk of losing $100+ for not scoring high enough on a CLEP/DSST
I'm currently completing their COM-101 course and it's fun
Aleks: College Algebra | Intermediate Algebra | Precalc | Intro to Statistics
Free: Ethics(cr), bunch of fema courses
CLEP: Principles of Management
Working on: College Composition CLEP.
Future: Maybe the DSST for Technical Writing, but I'm not 100% yet...
Goal: BSBA General Business, TESC

I recommend you to go CLEP route. I contemplated all other options against CLEP because I was just nervous and terrified thinking it would be too hard and to be honest I was afraid of failure then finally I decided to go for it and after I took the test I learned that all my fears were unfounded. It was one of the easiest exam yet most time consuming. So, don't over think it and go for it. I used only IC to prepare for it. Essay was not bad either. I just got my results and I passed it.
