What study materials to use?
#1
Over the next few months I plan to take the following exams:

DSST/DANTES – Principles of Supervision, Introduction to Business

CLEP – Principles of Management, Principles of Marketing

From the forums I see that the IC flash cards are popular, as are the Peterson’s practice exams and CLEP and REA study guides. Here is my stupid question of the day: Are any of you reading textbooks as well to prepare for the exams? I almost hope you all answer ‘no’ that question, but be honest!

Thanks

Your question is certainly far from stupid and also quite valid. Speaking for myself, I have never used a textbook but highly endorse all of the materials below. Of course the IC-Flashcards are a critical component of any exam prep - Good Luck!

I do use textbooks as well as REA Study Guides and Peterson's practice tests for CLEPs. I mostly use textbooks or other study guides (Barrons for instance) for DSST exams. I also supplement with the internet and useful websites such as free-clep-prep.com as needed.

Each person studies better differently, therefore find the study method that works best for you. Reading books works well for me but that doesn't mean it works for everyone.
