Page 10 lists the scoring/mailing schedule. We found it to be very accurate. As west coasters, we received the score report a couple of days after the mailing date.

I took my course on the last day possible before they had a scoring day, and received my results about a week and a half after I took it.

How was it? How much studying needs to be done for it, and any particular thing to watch out for? What is the writing portion like? About how long did it take to complete?

I've definitely had worse tests. I used the Modern States training course and the Peterson practice exams to study. If I had to guess what I got on the essay side, I'd guess 4-5 (of 6) based on the example essays I read on Peterson's. Stay on topic, don't flip flop and be a grammar nazi. If you follow those rules you should be fine.
