Would all credits from a BSBA count toward an AA in business admin?

I'm looking to work toward a Bachelor in business administration but an not sure the major yet. I'm curious if they all have same core classes that would satisfy an AA in business admin so I can begin taking those classes while I decide a major.

They are pretty similar except for an added course here or there, for example the ASBA requires macroeconomics or macro, while the BSBA requires both of them.

Your best bet would be to knock out the required courses for the ASBA, but keep an eye on the BSBA plan you are most interested in and tackle any other requirements along the way. (like doing both econ courses together)

It probably would have been better to ask the question the other way around. All of the credits from the ASBA should apply to the BSBA regardless of specialization. The business core is the same for every specialization.

I know it sounds backwards, except my work will pay for only one lower level degree AA or BSBA. Problem is I need an AA to meet requirements to renew a license at the end of this year, but want to obtain a BSBA.

My plan as of now is this. Apply for BSBA at TESC, submit previous transcripts to see what they count. Then begin taking all BSBA requirements that are also requirements for ASBA. Once all those have been met, obtain/apply/request graduation for ASBA and continue on with BSBA. This way I get the AA within a year (hopefully) to renew my license I need and will have my work continue to pay for the BSBA.

Does that sound like it will work. Again, I have no experience with this and am assuming this is possible based on the countless threads I've been reading

I guess you will be paying for your graduation fee out of pocket then so that your employer won't know they already paid for an associates. You're still working on and finishing the ASBA first regardless of the order in which you add the degrees to your evaluation. In other words, you're still asking if all of the ASBA credits can be applied to a BSBA. The BSBA has all of the requirements of the ASBA plus more requirements. The courses in the BSBA that might not apply to the ASBA would be the area of study or specialization courses just because you would run out of space, but you could save those for last.

Yes any expense that is not required to meet the BSBA my employer will not pay for. I dont mind paying out of pocket for it. Thank you for the response. Looks like I have some course of action now to proceed with. I appreciate the feedback!
