Regardless of whether you like Trump or not, he is OBJECTIVELY getting the ball rolling on this when the EU and Biden sat on their hands and essentially did nothing the last 3 years other than piss away money as Ukrainians have been slaughtered.

The facts are that Ukraine is losing. The Kursk foray is faltering and they have been driven back at significant cost. Russia is slowly eating territory in the east with both sides facing terrible losses. Ukraine has ZERO capabilities to mount a significant offensive because they simply do not have the manpower to drive Russia out at this point. They have made no significant gains in over a year. Is that a country that is winning? I know their online propaganda machine is on point but come on...

A ceasefire and peace/security deal is in their best interest even if they lose territory permanently.
