Are you able to have ACE send your credit to your SMART?
I'm military and tried logging in as an existing user, although i've never signed up before, I do have a SMART. So I'm curious, when you request the ACE credit.. Can you have them mail you the transcript or is there an option for them to put it on your SMART?
I guess I'm kind of confused as to how they would know it was my SMART even after registering.
So I guess my question is, do they mail you the transcript at your request or can they only send them to a certain college?
Thanks a lot.

First off I want to say that I have to use AARTS since I am in the Army. But it should be the same for you.
Your SMART transcript is only to record your training directly through your military training, that is worth college credit.
You need to set up a civilian account and have them sent to the civilian account. This is actually better, some college will only allow you to transfer so many credits from any one source. This way they will be on 2 different ones.
Hope this helps

Thanks a lot Kujo.
Do you know if you can get the ACE transcript sent to your house or does it need to be sent to a college?

From what I understand you can get the civilian ACE and your SMART (our AARTS) sent to your house and to school.

I don't know if it is different for current military, but the way ace works is it costs $40 to send the first transcript and $15 for every one after that. It wouldn't make sense to send one to yourself because colleges will only accept them directly from the source. I could be wrong.

Some college will accept transcripts that are official that have not been opened. Also some military units will allow you to turn in personal transcripts towards your promotion points in civilian education.

Thanks for the tip. I didn't realize that the second transcript would cost so much less. That is good news!
