Congrats to you!!!!!!!! I'm new to all of this and have a hard time getting started. I see you have taken an exam each month. How do you do it?

There are some people here who take multiple tests in the same week, but my brain doesn't work that way. I can only focus on one subject at a time. I study a lot, and I rarely watch tv (with the exception of Heroes. I love that show!). What helps me is that I copy and paste the flashcards onto a word doc and take them with me where ever I go. I read over them when I have spare time. (ie in the line at the grocery store) The questions that I really don't get I write out on my own flashcards (writing helps with my retention) and practice those. Then I take the Petersons practice tests to see if I'm ready. Although I have taken a test every month I studied Sociology for about 10 days, Humanities about 6-7 weeks, and Biology about 10 days. I owe a lot to instantcert and all the helpful people in the forum. I don't know if I would have had the confidence to test out of subjects I had no prior knowledge on.
Testing out is addictive. Once you start it is hard to stop. It feels great to accumulate 15 units in 10 weeks, especially considering traditional college classes are 16 weeks long. So I don't mind that it takes almost all of my spare time.
Good luck to you! Keep us posted on your progress.
