Outside of one professor, I have never read anything negative about the program and learning journey.
Talking with VUL back in Mach 2022, I agree this is a different tone to the likelihood of anything coming soon. Their DHA offering is substantial, so they should do just fine even with no new additions.
There were several graduates who waited 8 months to get their diplomas and have their transcripts recorded. I wouldn't call that theatrical. IT wasn't due to the pandemic. It was due to EXTREMELY poor communication from the university who kept telling students numerous stories and not really explaining anything. They were also promised graduation regalia which only ended up being given to those who attended commencement which is not what was communicated at all.
I have read from several people problems with the program and it's not just 1 professor. I've been following along since the DHA was announced. Even their Facebook ads have people asking questions that the school never responds to which is really bad marketing and says a lot to potential students about the school.

Again, Facebook and Facebook groups are built on theatrical and, often, irrational complainers. The diploma timeline for delivery was unfortunate, and shouting about it online is misguided and pointless, which makes me question the student more than the school.
Rarely are universities purposely failing students, and I'm comfortable connecting the pandemic to many of their shortcomings over the last two years.

This all didn't happen on Facebook, but keep living in your bubble. No one said anything about failing students. You want to question dozens of students? Feel free. Even ashkir is waiting for his diploma and was told it will be 8 months. He wasn't part of the cohorts I'm talking about. It's not all roses and puppy dog kisses.

So I actually did get some good news on that! They're going to start using Parchment for their diplomas in a month or two! So good move!
Yeah. The school is clearly still suffering under DHA. They're still working the kinks out, balancing the cohorts, etc. They also went under heavy reconstruction, grants, etc. They're trying hard and making progress. This is a very small school, and the DHA is by far the most popular program they have.

Misleading the room by saying dozen(s) of students is an interesting take. Basic math: You read 24+ comments on the diploma delay? At least be honest while commenting so we can have an open conversation vs. a biased take fitting your negative narrative. Great example with sharing that ashkir was told it would be 8 months. From what you are telling me, VUL properly communicated to him the process would take 8 months. Either he is an anomaly or perhaps, 'some of the complainers on this mystical forum you are referencing (definitely not the VUL Facebook group), were told as well and chose to complain anyway.
Appreciate the roses and puppy dogs comment because it frames how you see the world, if someone is positive creates a negative emotion in you. The world can be flawed and lovely at the same time and those not realizing how blessed they are, tend to attack grace when they have lost perspective of the value of their existence.

VUL seems like a cool setup and if they did eventually do a DBA, I'd be interested. But pretending that it's unreasonable to be upset or complain to the school about an 8 month delay is silly. That's an unreasonable delay, and students should be raising their concerns.

I stated, it was reasonable to be frustrated and mentioned that if I had graduated from VUL and was waiting might also be frustrated. Perhaps, the disconnect is my position that the small percentage of people complaining online in forums isn't confirmation of the quality of VUL and that there wasn't a communication on the delay + an updated revised communication to a longer wait. Herd mentality tends to magnetize complainers and negative people to situations that can't be resolved; however, it doesn't stop them from wasting personal resources.
My interest was to encourage the forum not to talk down on a university that, by the numbers, seems like a solid experience, especially based on its size and resources. A bonus is that we have a first-hand experience in our forum who attended VUL and has shared his quality experience on enrollment, courses, professors, grading, and communication.

What's your deal? Yes, I have read posts and comments from over 2 dozen students at VUL on various platforms. With the world being online today in 2023, that's not a difficult thing to do. I was being honest. Not sure where you're getting a negative narrative from especially since I posted numerous times asking for an update on the new doctorate they were going to offer, but whatever dude.
Actually, ashkir contacted VUL about his diploma. They did not contact him based on what he told me outside of this platform. He was told it was going to be 8 months and has since received new info from VUL. This conversation he and I had wasn't yesterday.
VUL does have some serious issues that they need to work on. Many schools have problems that they need to work on. That's not anything new. Waiting 8 months for a diploma is ridiculous. Waiting 8 months for a transcript update is ridiculous. Being told you're getting graduation regalia and then not getting it is ridiculous. VUL has done a lot of ridiculous things. They were not prepared for the number of students who have enrolled in the DHA.

Your first sentence sums up this discussion and how generalizing a situation with inflated words is a poor way to discuss anything.
I'll stick with a first-hand review from someone in this forum who spent a year+ at VUL verse your opinion that, at this point, feels like there is an agenda behind it.

The diploma issue was real. The previous three cohorts were very upset. The school also made mistakes on some. The transcripts for my cohort has some issues. They're fixing it and outsourcing them to Parchment soon.
