Upper level electives from study.com
#1
If you do the BLS management program and you have 8 electives does anyone know if any of the 300 or 400 umpi approved study.com courses count? Example I saw a few hospitality credits does that count for those or can you only take the electives from the list they send you?

You should only take electives from a list they provide you, that's the safest option to make sure you have at least 30 credits completed for residency credits and the bulk of them should be upper level required.  Here's the WIKI that shows what I'm referring to, notice the Core and Electives show the upper level requirements: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/UM...egree_Plan

You have to check the courses on Study. Just because Study's number is 300 or 400 doesn't mean that UMPI or any school will consider them the same level. Several UL courses on Study are LL at UMPI and other schools. You would have to ask your academic advisor if hospitality courses can be included in the 24 UL credits. You can also only have 90 transfer credits applied to your degree. You must complete a minimum of 30 credits at UMPI. They used to require you to complete the majority of the 24 UL's at UMPI. I'm not sure if this has changed. This was the policy when I completed my BLS in 2021.

I considered the BLS but ended up doing BABA instead.

Jessica told me that:

At least 30 credits must be taken at UMPI
At least 12 credits in the major/minor must be taken at UMPI
At least 9 UL credits in the major/minor must be taken at UMPI

Yeah this is a change from when I first enrolled. Or maybe they just didn't enforce it. That might be the case.

Did Jessica indicate what the total number of Upper Level requirements are needed for the BABA? Most plans have UL electives showing as 18+ credits outside the major. That means, 9+18=27 UL credits total, if UMPI requires 30 credits, I would try doing the entire UL requirements through them and thus transfer in the 90 credits from Sophia.org/Study.com or another provider to max the credit transfers.
