Hello! I need 3 credits in history and another 3 credits in an elective. Both need to be upper level from any 4-year institution. Can't CLEP . Anyone know of open enrollment type classes that won't break the bank?

Can it be a test-out method from a 4-yr school? Like a TECEP, UExcel or CSU-Global CBE?
US History 1945 to Present (UL) - CSU-Global $250 - the only specifically history course in the bunch. Lots of other UL courses available through all 3.
Schools to look into with UL history courses:
U of Arkansas Self-paced $480
CSU-Pueblo IS $525
U of Idaho IS $510
BYU IS $534

There are several upper division DSST, TECEP and UExcel exams. They are mainly business exams. I am going to take a few. Human Resources, Business Ethics, Negotiations. I am focusing on ones that have Instant Certification (IC) flashcards available. I have found IC to be invaluable. http://www.free-clep-prep.com/dsst-difficulty-list.html

DSST, TECEP and UExcel all have plenty of non-business UL exams. Plenty.

It can't be any exams by credit. Already none of my Excelsior courses transferred in from my initial RN. They'll grant me credit for my licensure, but not the courses itself. I'm in an RN to BSN program.
I'm not sure how to do this without avoiding tons of fees? If I do Excelsior or TESC, there would be tons of fees, correct? Maybe BYU? I'm looking for self paced/open study courses.

My son is taking 2 courses right now from CSU Pueblo Independent Study. They have all level courses, have amazing support services and are $555 per class. That is less than his classes from our local Community and Technical College are. https://www.csupueblo.edu/extended-studi...index.html

I'll have to check them out. I need an upper division electronics course. Only option so far is Excelsior at $1,530 class for Control Systems. ($510 credit hour).

There are TONS of schools cheaper than $1530/ course. That's a ridiculous amount to pay.
TESU is cheaper if you get the Study.com affiliate membership ($199 for a month of Study.com, then apply at TESU, then courses are $1098).
COSC is $1100-ish for courses. APU is $810. CSU-Global is $1050.
Those are just the schools off the top of my head. Practically everyone is less than $1530/course.

Well, I haven't seen an upper division electronics course cheeper yet, still looking. ASU has one, but more. My consentration is Electronics due to my military Electronics training in the Marine Corps (Radar). Just need one upper division to secure that. My local college Lawerance Tech wants $2,700. If you see UL Electronics let me know .
