The payment of my course was very streamlined. If you do it online, the payment clears in just a few hours. They send you an email saying everything is ready and you can download your pdf with your grade. The CURP number appears on the file. Has a QRcode that I assume is for ID verification of a student's records. Doesn't state how many credits the course is worth, just the number of hours. So now I will have to see about getting it translated.

Very nice.
It say "educación continua"-
Please tell us if you can get credits for this.
It says 60 hours. No credits(since it is continuous education, I guess)

It says the grade in the pdf, so I am going to cross my fingers it is worth something. I am thinking of doing several of these cheap courses since they can be done very quickly. I wonder if Spantran can translate several courses in 1 batch or it must be per course.

Oh! I haven't translated my diplomas to English yet, costs quite a bit of money and I wantedbto rest for a few months. Was getting burnout. I just signed up for one of their masters degrees however and have confirmation a CURP number is not necessary to be accepted for a bachelors or masters program. They accept foreigner national ID numbers. I will assume for American students, they just need to share their SSN number. Payments can be done online via Bancomer or Banamex apps. Not sure if foreigners can pay via credit card. I guess they could open an account but they would physically need to travel to Mexico and have at least 3500 mxn in the account at all times.

Giving a bit of an update on this thread. As I expected, the huge success of the UVEG's IT and Computer Science degrees has enticed them to expand degree offerings.
It isn't 100% official, but the dean held an speech during the most recent graduation a few days ago and mentioned the university will soon offer a Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity.
Some people feel excited the university keeps on growing, others seem concerned this degree might not have the best job prospects due to tech degree oversaturation. There have been a few comments they would have preferred this to be a masters degree, which would make good business sense becaude the school could lure the sizeable amount of alumni with related tech degrees where the masters could nicely complement what they already learned.
There has been rumors they might also offer a bachelors program for AI sometime in the future.

Yup! We have a new degree program opening at the UVEG! Yesterday the university has announced a brand new Doctorate degree in education. It includes 15 subjects and costs approximately 5300 USD at the current exchange rate. Degree will 100% be taught in Spanish. I will assume just like UVEG's masters degrees, the doctorate courses have self paced activities with weekly deadlines and a synchronous zoom class once a week.

Another breakthrough is the UVEG has also just opened 2 new masters degrees: oral trials for Lawyers and Artificial Intelligence. Both masters cost around 1500 USD and have 12 subjects that should take around 18 months to complete.

Finally, fabulous news for English speakers because the school has launched online Spanish classes. I don't know if this course can be transferred later, someone might need to become a guinea pig and do the course. Total cost of the full course is 385 USD.

As an American student I have used my Driver License Number in Spain and Mexico. It then appears on the diplomas as my uniquie identifier. No way am I giving my Social Security Number.

Is that all they need, a drivers license or passport as identification? Hmm, very tempting indeed at this price point...

The zoom classes are not 100% obligatory, but teachers prefer meeting the student at least once, especially for group projects and everyone at class will speak Spanish super fast, so foreign students might struggle. I am wondering whether the reason they have opened Spanish language courses recently is because they are getting applications from students from English language countries. It would be interesting if they start offering their most popular Computer Software degree in English. The huge barrier will be the social service, but US students can theoretically do the 80 hour service at any Mexican consulate worldwide.
