UMPI Transfer Evaluation
#1
Hello,

I figured I would post my menagerie of courses that were evaluated by UMPI. Mostly Straighterline, a few Sophia courses and some Excelsior and CC credits. I noticed they didn't take any of my military credits which I guess I expected.

This is for BLS with a minor in management.

What do you guys think? 3 Terms to finish? Any suggestions?

Hmm, are you still an active service person? If it's going to take you 3 terms, the cost is virtually the same as TESU: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...539?page=2

I'm stilling feeling out everything and UMPI seems to fit best from what I can tell at least with the pacing and my schedule. TESU has been a little bit more generous with the transfer credits and Ill post what I have below. This is not including the 6 Excelsior credits that TESU has not evaluated yet.

The way my mind works is that I tend to get really involved and complete things quickly for short periods of time. I feel like TESU is less fitting for me in that regard.

Cost also isn't my biggest factor at the moment. I'd pay significantly more for speed.

You need a lot of credits. I would not plan for 2 terms. Have you sat down and written up a degree plan? You need quite a bit for the GEC.

I talk to my advisor this upcoming Tuesday. I had just received my transfer evaluation today and figured some people may be interested on how some of these have applied. Here is what I was given as well.

I think you need to complete more courses before you start but now that you've applied and are enrolled you need to ask for permission. You can also ask to defer your enrollment and ask about transferring in more courses. Here's what I'd take:

Sophia
Art History 1
Art History 2

Study.com
Intro to Biology with Lab

InstantCert
Spanish 1

Thank you for posting your transcript equivalency results! I’m surprised they took Foundations as a fulfillment for the Math GenEd, but I’m not gonna complain! Hopefully they’ll also take mine when I send mine in on Monday. I knew I was going to have to take MAT 140 when I was planning on a BABA, but now that I’m likely switching to the BA in History & Polisci instead, I’m relieved I possibly don’t have to take another math!

If you are going to take Intro to Biology with Lab at Study.com, you may as well find another course to take as it will be free since each month of Study.com covers 2 exams.

Can you share your actual Academic Progress Report? The GEC ends up being a little flexibile when you do one of the bigger majors.
