UMPI - BA in Business Administration: Accounting
#1
Hey there,

I have decided to make a UMPI degree plan for the BABA: Accounting. If I have messed up somewhere in the Excel, please let me know.

This is also the degree plan I am working towards, I am opening up my Sophia account (and then Study) soon, if there are any discounts please let me know. If there are any tips, "heads up," or anyway I can save time/money, please let me know.

I have piggybacked off user @Kylan11

DEGREE PLAN: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1...ue&sd=true

Features:
  • Class counter by Provider
  • Total and Earned Credits
  • Completion percentage
  • Upper Level Requirement Counter (must have the majority of UL classes completed at UMPI)
  • Automatically marks classes as "Done" once Finish Date is filled in, and updates the counters
And lastly, a few tips for the journey that I hadn't read anywhere else:
  • The UMPI part is easily doable in 2 terms (even 1 if you have the time). I took the hardest/least interesting classes right away in the first term when my motivation was at a peak, so that Term 2 was extremely easy. Preference and difficulty are of course subjective, so think about it for yourself strategically.
  • BUS 325 is I believe the longest class in this program. Lots of big milestones and the final is huge. You want to enroll in this class first, at the start of a session, and slowly work your way towards it while you complete other classes.
  • BUS 343 is likewise a bit more involved than other classes - although nothing like BUS 325. You may want to enroll in this class right at the start of your second term.
  • Join the Discord! It's a great tool for staying motivated and has a ton of useful info.

If there is anything outdated here, please let me know and I'll update it.

Best of luck to anyone reading, you got this!

You'll need to complete a minimum of 30 credits from UMPI. This plan has only 24.

Awesome write up and spreadsheet... Basically, it's best to complete all the transfer classes from Coursera, Sophia.org and Study.com for the max transfer of 90 credits (or more), then complete the remaining UMPI classes for 30 credit residency! +1, I agree with the language, it's awesome Sophia.org and other providers have a language for transfer, otherwise the ACTFL would be a good option for those who are proficient in a language not offered inexpensively.
