UMPI 2D Selections & Credit Total Question
#1
Hi Everyone!

I'm getting confused on what to take / general concensus for 2D.

I thought within the past couple months someone announced Visual Communications on Sophia was now fulfilling it? Does anyone know about this?

Next, I transferred some credits in from Sophia, and before that, the Degree Progress Report showed me as 120 degree credits needed overall, 70 completed, 50 needed and 7 of those being elective credits.  I looked today, and all my electives are completed now, but my Overall Credits only went from 70 to 71 completed, and 50 to 49 needed.  I don't understand.  Then it shows me as having 23 sections "not satisfied".  Which 23x3 is a lot more than 49.

I'm really having a hard time trying to figure out this distinction.

Can someone please help me understand?

Thank you so much!

EDITED: A few people have posted on FB that Jessica is manually correcting Visual Communications to fulfill 2D at UMPI, and I've sent her a request for me. Mine transferred in last week and was not credited there, but someone on FB just posted that Jessica did this for him 2 days ago.

That's great, you've provided us some information, it's going to be confusing for all parties. I believe it's just a waiting game for UMPI to correct/update your evaluation... Without knowing what's complete/missing or the full picture of courses and degree you have, it's impossible to assist. You should send at least a pdf or screenshots of what you see and the evaluation of what you need (without your personal details). You're the one who has to help us understand the situation more, as I am still confused...

The 23 not satisfied: how many of those are GEC requirements? That is, could there be any overlap?

Aren't you enrolled at UMPI? I see your name on Discord. Doing UMPI and Sophia at the same time is very challenging and not usually recommended. You haven't shared your degree evaluation so we can't help without knowing what you still need.
