Hi -
Do I send my transcripts in using parchment? The enrollment page mentions nothing about parchment and only references edocs@Maine or a physical mailing address. When I call the referenced number I get routed to a call center.
Thoughts?
Thanks!

Which transcripts?
If they're from other schools, you send transcripts by however the other school sends them. That is, indeed, often Parchment.
I think Sophia is supposed to be on the Credly transcript, not Parchment. You can do both (I think) but Credly is free.

What transcripts are you looking to send? Parchment doesn't hold every transcript. What referenced number are you calling?

I was following the instructions on the application. The number listed was 1-844-811-7391. I just decided to send all my transcripts using Parchment as they had them listed as an electronic recipient. Edocs seems old school and not the way modern colleges and universities handle transcripts today.

It really depends on where you have credits coming from and how each institution or course provider sends/stores the info. If the institutions or course provider all have Parchment, great, if not then edocs may be slightly on the old tech side of things, but it's still much more efficient and faster than snail mail... I recall there are many institutions that only accept old school mail still!

When you go to your previous school(s), you order your transcripts from them, and they will send them the way they choose to - I have a college that sends their own, and then I have schools that use different providers. But you don't get to choose - the school does.
And UMPI will accept them however they get there - there's no single provider they use to ACCEPT transcripts, they just use Parchment themselves to SEND their own transcripts.

Do not call that 844 phone number! That doesn't connect you with UMPI. It connects you to the third party enrollment counselors who are basically used car sales people. My dog knows more about YourPace than they do. Here is the number to the actual campus: 207.768.9400
Your Sophia transcripts you can send via Parchment or Credly whichever you prefer. Parchment is like $5 and is sent almost immediately and done electronically. With your colleges you'll need to request directly from them. If you can get electronic transcripts from them, that's the fastest way to get them.
