Finish! 70 years later - 88 year old grandpa
#1
This shed tears to my eyes, his granddaughter and family asked the university to grant her grandpa a degree of recognition before he passes.  Very touching, he put effort into his studies even though he has health issues... technically, he doesn't have enough credits, and this is not a "true" degree, but it doesn't really matter, he gets to "graduate" along with the granddaughter!

In Peru, after you get your bachelor degree, in order to be considered a "professional" you need to get the "Licenciado" title, that you get by writing a thesis or by taking an additional semester, that requires some capstone at the end. The thesis option is considered more prestigious.

My father got his bachelor in 1978, and his licenciado in 2019.
