Taking two exams in one day...
#1
I am going to take the Principles of Management and Principles of Marketing CLEP. From what I've read, it appears there is some overlap in the material that is on each of these exams, so I'm considering taking both of them in one day. I've never taken more than one exam at a time, so I'm wondering if I'm going to take on too much?

Thanks!

If you have the study material down then you should do fine by taking two of them. If you haven't taken Principles of Supervision, I would recommend that one also since it overlaps with Principles of Management. I took it without studying anything and passed it.
Good luck,

So it sounds like I should take the DANTES Principles of Supervision first (that is on my list to take as well)? After that, then I'll attempt the two CLEPs on the same day.

I take my exams at TESC in Trenton and they do not do DANTES and CLEPs on the same day.

I usually take two a day, and it all goes back to what Clep101 said. If you have the information down, then you'll be fine. Personally I find it easier to study for two at once then just one. It lets me switch in between study material so I don't get bored.

If I were you, I'd take marketing first and then do management and supervision on the same day. My sister did management/supervision on the same day with no trouble....in fact, we were at the testing center at the same time and she completed both exams before I had finished my one exam. Smile

If you feel ready--and have time or other options if it doesn't work out--I always recommend taking 2-3 per day--particularly if you're comfortable with the material. It's interesting that this question is asked quite frequently. Remember when we were all in high school? We had all of our finals in the same week, right? Sometimes two on the same day? So, we were basically preparing for FIVE at once. If we lived through that--two or three of the easier exams should be no problem. Remember--many of us just need a PASS.

Also, I don't recall any posts where someone regretted attempting two tests in one day. I recall several where people, including me, were very glad they did. Believe me--nothing compares to the feeling of completing a semester in a day! (Well, almost nothing...). Go for it!

I wish my testing center would let me do two in one day (they're insistant that I can't and it's "too difficult"). I'm considering doing two different centers on the same day to make sure I can get the tests in (I really just want to take my Amer Lit and Management on the same day for no other reason than just to be done with them).
I'm done!

I've always done 2 or 3 in one day. I have to say, three is a lot! I was mentally drained when I was done.

I took managment first on 6/23/07. Two weeks later, I took Marketing and Intro to Business (7/5/07). Two weeks after that, I took Here's to your health, Org Behavior, and HR Mgmt (7/14/08). Then... I took a very long break. I took Principles of Supervision on 9/22/07 then another break until 12/1/07 when I took Microeconomics and Technical Writing. It can be done.. but, may I suggest one thing. I would take one first. Get an idea of what they are like and build up your confidence. Managment and Supervision were VERY close. Marketing is more like economics I thought.
