New to the forum...and to testing, for the most part. I took College Comp with CLEP a few years ago, but other than that I am new.
Next Friday I am taking Western Europe since 1945 and Rise and Fall of the Soviet Union Dantes tests. Am I asking for trouble? Will I be able to pass? I Have been going through the IC flashcards and trying to learn as much as I can in this short amount of time.
Once I pass these, and 2 more tests (Stats and MIS) I will have 4 more classes to take in the Spring and I will complete a BS CIS with Regis U.
I just hope I am not wasting my money and time! I sure don't want to have to retake the tests!
Help!

reif,
You're not insane, just hopeful. Be sure to check the specific feedback forum for these two tests - it will help immeasurably - Also, check the free-clep-prep website for practice tests and helpful suggestions.
I took Rise & Fall, but not Western Europe, so I don't know if there is any overlap of info. But I would imagine there is.
Good luck.

I've been working through the flashcards for both tests and have been trying to read what I can find on Wikipedia. Honestly, it is all really interesting, but I am afraid I won't be ready. The two exam specific forums are helpful, though. I hope I can do it!

No you aren't (completely) crazy. There have been several people here who take multiple tests at once. There was one guy who had to fly I think from Korea to Japan to test, and took something like six tests over a weekend or something. I may have mixed people up, but there's definitely been quite a bit of multi-testing going on around here.
I personally like to way over-prepare so the test looks like a joke when I sit down. I'd rather get the rush up front than get a feeling of dread.

Nope, you're not. The other month I once took 4 DSSTs in one sitting. You can do it.

I am mostly proficient with the Soviet Union flashcards now. Been reading where I can. Also need to get the Europe flashcards more underway. I am starting to get nervous, as I have not had the time to prepare that I thought I would have. Hopefully there will be a little overlap with these two subjects.

Do the practice tests still work on the Free Clep Prep site? I tried to register but I can't seem to get the confirmation email to be able to log in. I tried registering two days ago, so today I even clicked the button to get the confirmation email again. Still don't see it. I have checked my spam folders, too. Anyone else have this same problem?
Also, thanks so much for the encouragement! I have been reading the exam specific threads for these two exams and I was really starting to panic. After some more studying I am thinking I will probably be okay. Luckily, the school I attend doesn't assign letter grades to these, so hopefully I will pass and be on my way.
Next month it is on to Statistics and MIS. Whew, I can't wait to get it done!

Oops. Just noticed that you're a newbie. I do snark, but I try to save it for the seasoned veterans. You haven't crossed the Rubicon. If you've followed the advice of the nicer folks in this forum, you should make a well-reasoned decision.
