Obviously, courses with letter grades will more likely transfer.
Please send a complaint to edx:

I hope they will fix it soon.
Everyone, if you'd like to get transferable credits from Edx and TESU, please send complaints to Edx.

Also, the computer science fundamentals one was actually significantly less work than taking the comparable course at ASU. Also, they currently have a 100% scholarship that you can apply for, but they're 6-8 weeks backlogged for it. Finally, while TESU has only currently evaluated 4 of them for credit, there are 4 more currently being evaluated. The 2 additional ones from NYUx are "intended" to be worth 8 and 9 credits in programming and cyber security.

If you can get them for about $50 (assuming you get financial aid and not the scholarship), that's not bad at all.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming

It complemented the ASU course will most likely be considered duplicate credit. I wish I'd have waited for the 2 newer ones from NYUx, though. They look pretty good.

Sophia's course is extremely basic and just gives a survey level of info for non IT people. The WGU micro bach is 3 intro courses from WGU and is designed for IT majors to get their baseline knowledge before tackling the Comptia A+, N+ and S+ certs. I don't envision it being a good investment for anyone unless they get a significant discount. If you transfer to WGU, it's worth 10 CU, but if you transfer it to TESU, it's only 3, which would make the $900 rather pricey. I audited it a while back for fun and the finals were actually pretty challenging(includes a lot of specific technical questions). I didn't read any of their specific course materials first and didn't pass their practice final. I did easily pass the Sophia IT course in about a day, though. These were both right after I passed my A+ cert.

I've done Sophia's course and it was very basic. I was just wondering what the difference was because the price difference is HUGE. If it's only 3 credits then it's probably not worth the price difference, but for 10 cu at WGU it's probably worth it.

Are the final exams proctored?

Yeah.. but the courses won't come with letter grades. We need to ask Edx to fix this.
https://courses.edx.org/support/contact_us
How can they create this amazing program without course letter grades on transcript??
Without letter grades, it's extremely difficult to transfer the credits to any institution.
I'm surprised big names like Boeing and Walmart are funding this program. The program has flaws... only few online colleges will ever accept transfer credits without letter grades.
MicroBachelor credits can be useful at TESU though...

Proctored finals for each class within the microbachelors series.
