TESU Computer science process question
#11
1. No. Doesn't matter.
2. TESU goes by name and birthdate info on the transcripts. IIRC, SDC has a field where you can put in your student ID number to make matching easier.
3. No.
4. No. Don't pay tuition until you are actually going to take classes. You don't need to take most classes at TESU. It should probably be the very last thing you do at TESU, not one of the first.
5. Yes, they will. But it's temporary. Do NOT use it for Sophia or SDC. You may need access to those accounts in the future and you'll lose access if you use your TESU email.

@emmaya, it's great that you're asking questions and being proactive in finding the proper steps to begin, having said that, you're jumping all over the place and jumping the gun as well.  My suggestion is to follow my post #8, and specifically, creating the spreadsheet with the degree plans available on the WIKI.  Start with Sophia.org for lower level and Study.com for upper level requirements, then do the RA courses and lastly, required courses at TESU to finish.

To answer your questions, see below, you want to do things in order:
1.     Do I need to have the same email for registering with Sophia and Study.com as my enroll TESU email?
Use your personal email to sign up for Sophia.org/Study.com, TESU

2.     How can I prove that I am myself?  For example , Sophia took 3 credits credly.com TESU , can anyone clarify this particular part ?
In addition to what was mentioned by jch & rachel83az... For proctoring exams, they'll need you to provide valid ID

3.     Do I need to inform the university in advance about my Sophia or Study.com account information?
As per my post #8 again, you usually want to speak with them for changes/modifications that we don't have access to...

4.     After paying the tuition, do I still need to schedule a meeting with an admissions counselor?lol Sounds like useless ...
In addition to what was mentioned by jch & rachel83az... same answer as #3 above

5.     Will TESU provide me with an @edu email? If it is , do I need use this account to take Sophia or Study.com’s class ?
Yes they will, but you don't really use it unless advising or the registrar emails you directly to that email address, if you did things in order, your Sophia.org/Study.com would already be using your personal email address you currently have setup

I agree you probably don't want to use your TESU email for SDC and Study, but it's not temporary. I still have access to my TESU email even after several years.

Really? When I signed up for the NJ library through TESU, I was specifically told that I couldn't use the TESU email because I'd lose access to the email after graduation. Why THAT matters when I don't get access to the library itself after graduation, I don't know.

4. No. Don't pay tuition until you are actually going to take classes. You don't need to take most classes at TESU. It should probably be the very last thing you do at TESU, not one of the first.

So, I don't need to enroll in TESU's July Term to take courses. First, I will list the credits I need to complete according to the roadmap, and I would appreciate everyone's guidance on that. Then, I can study the courses on Sofia.com and Study.com at my own pace and complete them. Afterward, I can transfer the credits earned from those courses to TESU. Finally, I will fulfill the remaining credits required by TESU. Therefore, at this point, I don't need to make any payments for a flat rate or per credit to TESU. I just need to finish the listed courses as soon as possible on Sofia and Study.com and transfer the credits to TESU. Is my understanding correct? Also, I don't need to enroll in courses at TESU for now. I will assess the credits after completing each course and then transfer them to TESU. Is this understanding correct?

@emmaya, I've updated your post to remove the fonts. And it's actually Sophia.org not Sofia.com... You're correct, you do the TESU classes or the 16 credit flat rate term last. As per my previous posts, both of them, it's Sophia.org, Study.com, transfer them into TESU. Finish off remaining RA requirements, then the last is the courses at TESU for the remainder.

Yes, exactly right.

One thing I will mention, however, is that you'll want to PAY FOR (but not take) the 1-credit Medical Terminology TECEP every 12-14 months. Including right now. This only costs $52 but will unlock full enrollment status. Full enrollment status unlocks unlimited evaluation of transcripts from Study.com, Sophia, etc. Being able to send in your transcripts every month or two is crucial to confirming that you're on the right track. It also "locks in" your already-completed classes. If TESU were to suddenly stop taking a class already on your transcript, you'd be grandfathered in and it'd be okay. If they decided to stop taking it, but you hadn't transferred it in yet, you'd be out of luck.

Aww, I only need to register for this course; I do not need to attend this course every 12~14 months, and I also do not need an exam to gain this credit. Is my understanding correct? Can you help clarify if this is the course? Please view the link and screenshots. Thanks a lot! ~

Regarding books, how does everyone find books? I know BookFinder.com and App Libby. Does anyone have good advice? ~

It's actually just a test, not a whole course. Not only do you not have to take it, you really don't want to take it. For one thing, it's not easy unless you happen to be familiar with medical terminology, but the real reason is that it's about the only 1cr TECEP available to use for the purpose of extending enrollment. If you were to pass it, it wouldn't be available if you needed it later.

For courses at TESU that need textbooks, I either rented them from Amazon, or found them used. I got the text for my database course from a university library for $10. It looked like it hadn't been opened since the librarian stamped the inside cover when it arrived.
