Hi guys I've recently came across TESU and it looks pretty neat. I was thinking about taking some courses with them since the CC Math , Anatomy and Microbiology classes fill up like crazy. Has anyone ever took classes with them , how was your experience?

I would say that if you need a course or two, especially UL, then their Study.com affiliate membership price is decent (not good, only decent at $1098). But I wouldn't take something you can easily get for less somewhere else. The ones you listed are avaialble for less than $200 by any number of course providers (some are only $25).

If you will be attending a school like TESU that takes ACE, then you can get A&P very quickly and cheaply at Straighterline. Microbiology too. Math at Shmoop or Modern States (free). Also Study.com has the scholarship for 18 free credits.
If ACE credit won't do, try New Mexico Junior College or Foothill Community College for online versions of these at a decent price. After those try APU which is pricier, but still cheaper than TESU.
Anyway, I've taken courses at TESU and they are just fine.

Clovis Community College as well. The one in NM, not the one in CA! Unless you are from CA, then you have so many options that are cheap

Yes, I took my major with them. Taking your 100/200 level courses there seems like you have extra money you don't know what to do with. If your CC fills up, just register with a second CC simultaneously. There are about 12,000 CCs in the country, all offering math, A&P, Microbiology -and usually online for about $200/credit. TESU will cost you closer to $500/credit FOR THE SAME CLASS. If your goal is a bachelor's degree from TESU, they will accept these courses in transfer from a CC or any other regionally accredited college or ACE evaluated business.

I'm currently getting close to wrapping up a double major BA at TESU
I like it and I like Study.com & their partnership but you should take all the classes you need & can take elsewhere before you take the required classes at TESU. It should only be 2 or 3, depending on the degree I have been working on a different BA at Charter Oak this year and TESU is much more lenient about what they'll accept, credit-wise but COSC is much faster to do anything than TESU is, and is generally better about communicating with you. I haven't tried Excelsior yet, other than to take some of their Uexcel exams
Study.com - 177 CR. TESU - 39 CR. Middle Georgia State University - 15 CR. Sonoran Desert Institute - 42 CR. COSC - 6 CR. Excelsior - 6 CR. CLEP - 6 CR. Sophia - 14 CR. TEEX - 2 CR. Shmoop - 18 CR. NFA - 4 CR. The Institutes - 2 CR. FEMA - 20ish
BA in History/English from TESU. BA in Communications from TESU. AS in Firearms Technology from SDI. |
