Hi,
I am wondering whether anyone has any info on the articulation agreements that TESU has with other universities. Specifically, I'd like to know whether those cover transferring CLEP credits to universities which do not accept them. I am aware that this would be considered credit laundering, but isn't that what articulation agreements are? Also, anyone with knowledge of County College of Morris, NJ, please reply. I can't seem to get a straight answer from them.
Thank you!

For County College of Morris to TESU, use NJ Transfer:

For articulation agreements, contact the registrar:

Articulation agreements apply to courses taken at a specific school; not courses/credits that a school accepts outside its own. Meaning school ABC may have an articulation agreement to accept courses from school LMP, but that doesn't mean because ABC accepts courses from school/source XYZ they will transfer to LMP. Transferability of courses/credits all come from their original sources; an exception is if the school you are transferring to accepts a block transfer of another degree. Meaning you earn an associate degree from school ABC and school LMP takes it as a block towards waiving Gen Eds (for example) even though it contains credits from sources it wouldn't normally accept; this is a limited (uncommon) situation.

No, that isn't what articulation agreements are. They cover one school promising to accept credits from another school. They wouldn't include another school accepting alternative credit. The closest thing I can think of to what you're suggesting is the NJ state mandated requirement that the state 4-year schools accept an associate's earned at the state community colleges as 60 credits earned towards a bachelor's. I suppose this could have the side effect of causing the university to accept CLEP or other alternative credit used to earn the associate's that they might not otherwise accept, but I have no first hand knowledge that it's so. Also, it wouldn't apply to an associate's earned at TESU as they aren't a community college.

If you want to use CLEP exams, you'd be best served by going to a school that accepts CLEP exams outright.
