The assistant dean at TESC for business administration told me the TEEx Cybersecurity for Everyone course is not allowed to be used for CIS elective credit. Same goes for CSU Global Information Systems Design and Management.
I will have 17 out of 18 credits for the CIS electives (2 CSUs, the other 2 TEEXs, SL C++, DSST MIS). My plan of using the 3rd CSU Global course(which counted as CIS 311 for other students before) and the one TEEX course is now down the toilet, after taking both of them. It just goes to show you - have your courses approved before taking them.
Now, could anyone recommend something fairly easy that could applied towards CIS elective credit and be passed within 20-30 hours of studying? I've seen people mention TECEP CIS 107 and TECEP Network Technology.

So what do they count as then? Do they get different course numbers? Or will they not accept them at all?

It's unusual for a CAP course to apply as gen ed. That means it's being counted as a natural science. Usually, computer courses that count as a natural science are also counted towards information systems and computer science area of studies. I don't know how TESC decides whether a CAP course will apply to the CIS area of study. They recently evaluated my Edmonds Community College courses as CAP-299 and applied the credits to my CIS area of study. Actually, when I found out about the CSU Global CBEs, I was only told that Information Systems Analysis and Design and Cloud Computing would count. I was never told that Information Systems Design and Management would count toward the CIS area of study.

My CSU Global Information Systems Design and Management had been pre-approved in the CIS electives area, but I forget what it was transcribed as. I'm pretty sure it was CIS 311. After I transferred in my DSST MIS scores, it was removed.

I keep track of these things (yes, I'm a nut), and I show that the MIS DSST is CIS-301, and the Info Systems Design & Mgmt CSU-Global exam is CIS-311. I wonder why they would remove one if they don't have the same code. They must have changed it after the fact, and none of us knows what it is yet?
Glad to find this out before my husband starts taking the exams. He's not ready to apply yet, just wants to take some exams/courses during the holidays when it slows down a lot at work.

Any idea which TEEX course matched up to which TESC course #? I can see the new numbers, but can't figure out which is which. At the very least, which one counts as CIS-244?
