Hi guys. First off, I want to say I'm loving this site. I'm a student at the University of Oklahoma and this site has helped me knock out 9 hours of ll free electives so far. You guys are awesome.
So, here's my situation...
I recently switched majors to Multidisciplinary Studies which basically left me with 15 LL free elective hours, 10 UL free elective hours and my capstone remaining. The lower level hours are easy to test out of through CLEP or DANTES. Although I don't have solid info yet, it appears that all DANTES transfer in as LL regardless of the ACE recommendation at OU. Hardly anyone on campus seems to even know what DSST or DANTES is.
Because of all this and reading about the straighterline to FHSU technique, I am wondering if I can get UL credit at FHSU for DANTES tests and then transfer it to OU as UL credit in order to fulfill my free elective requirements. Does anyone have experience doing anything like this at OU or any other major B&M universities?
I'm also interested in hearing if anyone else here has any other creative ideas to help me get these UD credits out of the way. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Does your school accept ECE (Excelsior College Exams)? Some of those are upper-level credit.

Thanks for the reply. They only accept Microbiology which is a lower division course.
I've been doing a bit more research and have found some programs here (
The National Guide - Evaluated Organizations ) that are suggested by ACE to be worth only upper division credit. The ALEKS Stats for Behavioral Sciences is one for example. I'm waiting to hear back from admissions on whether or not they always accept the ACE recommendation if it isn't otherwise specified.

On a different note, if all else fails and speed of completion is your primary motivation, there are independent study courses through the Colorado State system that can be completed fairly quickly (under 1 month in many cases). Check out the full range of courses here, and find the ones that aren't semester based. I'm talking Managerial Communications, Sports Marketing, etc...if speed is the requirement then I think that three of these type of UL courses can be completed via Independent Study (Correspondence) quickly.
Distance Learning, Business Courses, Extended Studies, Adams State College
Full menu of courses below (look for the Independent Study courses, NOT semester based)
Distance Learning, Undergraduate Courses, Extended Studies, Adams State College
Also check out CSU Pueblo online correspondence courses.

Good luck!!!

Thanks for the response Geezer. That's definitely a good backup plan, although a little pricey. I wonder how long it would take to get accepted and enrolled.

Quick. There are many on the forum that took and finished Operations Management from CSU Pueblo in around a month (with A's). My son took forever to finish Systems Analysis & Design from Adams College, but later admitted he could have blown through the course in about three weeks. If you order the books (used of course) then you can begin right away.
The object of course is to pick the right courses. I went to the Adams site thinking that you might be able to sneak in some fluff Graduate courses, but they now have a big disclaimer that you must have a completed Bachelor's to register. Along those lines, there are a ton of Graduate courses geared to teachers that are inexpensive ( Annenburg, PBS etc...)
Annenberg Media: Graduate Credit
Maybe you can sneak in and take some of those without the Bachelors requirement.

Thanks again Geezer. I'll have to check if OU accepts those courses.
