Comp w/ essay
#1
Hey, just to let everyone know comp w/ essay is doable. I was sure that I failed this one miserably after I took the test. However, I received my score report in the mail yesterday and lo and behold...I passed. I didn't get the greatest score in the world (51, that was close) but a pass is a pass.

Woo hoo! I am pumped!!! I don't have to sit in a class for 2 semesters and write tons of essays.

I am positive I bombed the essay portion. For some reason I freeze every time I take a timed essay. If you are a little essay apprehensive like me, just make sure you study hard for the MC section of the test. Peterson's was all I used and I am sure I would have done better if I practiced writing more timed essays on various broad topics.

If you are considering taking this one, good luck. I would say the worst part of this exam is waiting for your score report to be mailed to you.

Hear, hear! Congrats on 6 credits earned.

The test is actually quite enjoyable if you're well-prepared. At least, that's how I felt. Rolleyes

I got my score back just yesterday, and I passed too. (63) I know what you felt. As a tip for others, practice writing essays is a must. Have a couple people look over your writing and make suggestions. This way you have feedback and can keep improving. Trust me, this works.
- Try to master the multiple choice section for back-up, in case you mess up on the essay part.
- Make sure you have the test with essay, confirming the wrong one is not fun.
