any ALEKS classes for UL credits?
#1
Are there any ALEKS classes that can be used for UL credits for TESU? I still have a few days left and want to maximize the time there if possible!
Since I'm still a total newbie, is there any way to tell by looking at courses whether or not it is UL?
Thanks

None of them are UL. You can tell based on their transfer equivalency at TESU -- if the course number isn't in the 300 or 400 series, it's lower level

By the way, you want your UL credits to be from your area of study, not your general ed courses. They don't count toward your required 18 if they're in general ed/free electives

So if I'm getting a BALS, will there be certain things towards that? or is that just if I was doing CIS or HR manager or something specified?

All bachelors degrees at TESU require UL Credits in the AoS and elsewhere. TESU is the least amount that I have seen but all schools require it. Not sure if the number varies between different degrees but the Accounting one is 12UL Credits in the AoS.

I thought MAT-129 was UL based on the fact it's listed in the Higher Level Mathematics Courses? Thomas Edison State University Evaluation

As far as I understand it, "higher level" is used for the purposes of certain degree requirements and just means a course beyond algebra. For example: BSAST Degree in Technical Studies at Thomas Edison State University requires one course beyond algebra.

Upper level "UL" (or sometimes called upper division UD) refers only to the course prefix 3xx or 4xx.

Precalc, calc I, calc II, and discrete math are all listed as "higher level," but none are UL.

Hope that helps!
