Study time

How much time did you guys spend on the U.S. history II and Natural Science Clep exams?

I have the option to test any day until friday or wait until january (around the 6th) to test.

I would suggest you study until you can answer almost all of the IC questions and you have reviewed the suggestions in the the feed back for the individual test. The time will be up to you.

I typically go through the first set of the entire questions without writing anything down and see where I stand. Next I go through the questions and write down the answers to the questions that seem hard or I have not been exposed to before. The third time through I write the explanations to the answer/topic that just hasn't stuck. Maybe in between I go through a more difficult section when I have a few minutes to spare. I typically go through the entire set of flashcards 3 to 5 times times. the last time I randomize the questions. This has worked for me for seven tests and I have scored well each time.

For the natural science test there are several print guides you can use for review and to test you progress. I would recommend the Princeton Review and the Kaplan products. Take the tests until you feel comfortable and are scoring well then sit for the exam.

It all depends on how familiar you are with the subject matter and how much time you are willing to dedicate to studying. US History II is very doable with three full days of studying even if you don't have to much prior experience.
