So I was looking at Study.com and they keep talking about proctored exams. Do I have to go to my testing center and take the exam there, or how does it work with them?

Exams can be done on a personal computer as long as you have a Webcam. You can take an exam at any time 24/7. They review your exam video at a later date then email you the final grade. Takes about 1-2 weeks.

I think the quizzes now count but not the chapter exams.

You're right, I was thinking it worked the other way, chapters counted but not video quizzes. Seems backwards, but meh. Easy points either way

jsd (or anyone else who has passed study.com courses and wants to chime in ),
I think I saw on another thread (that is not open now) that you had asked (while still taking the course) about sending the study.com transfer credits over to TESU. What did you end up doing, adding them both to your ACE transcript, or could you just send them straight over like with SL transcripts?? If you used ACE, do you wait for the final grade before adding the course to the ACE request, or is it okay to request now and they will add it when they get around to grading the final?
Also, does it really take them the full 1-2 weeks just to grade a 100 question multiple choice test?!? How will I know if I need to retake the final if I don't know if I passed?? lol Along that train of thought, do you get some kind of notification that your final exam was graded, and what your final course grade is?

It took about 5 days to get a grade back, which was my only real gripe with them. It's absurd that on a multiple choice exam that they can't give you a "preliminary score, pending review" immediately.
I added it to ACE after I received my score. The first exam they just sent me an email, the second exam they called me and told me my score and asked about my experience before sending an email. I don't think there's an oprion to send directly to TESU, but I didn't actually think to look in to that since I had a bunch of other ACE items to send over anyway. They approved it within a day though.

Okay. Good to know, thanks!
That instant feedback on final exams is one thing I really liked about SL courses (besides subjects that included papers/speeches to grade). You knew if you passed or not at the end of the exam, before logging out.

I just finished the whole course aside from the final and I was just about to take the test today when I saw that they changed the grading. As I went through the course I just made sure that I got 80% on all of the quizzes because that's all I needed but now I'm wondering if I should go back through really quick and get those all up to 100% so that it will be easier to pass the final?
Does that make sense? Or do you think 80% will get me the same points on the quizzes as 100%?
Maybe a dumb question, I don't know. I just don't want to waste the time if it's not going to help. And study.com never answers my questions haha
