I did not take the Civil War DSST, but will give out my stock advice for every test taker - sign up for IC and access the Specific Exam Feedback section. Look up the Civil War exam and you will find tons of valuable info from folks who have actually taken the test - what you need to know, what resources are the most helpful, etc. The SEF has guided me through all my CLEPs, DSSTs, and UExcels...
