Thank You

Hi,
Well, I am fluent in "Spanglish" so I figured the Spanish CLEP would be doable. I only prepared by drinking coffee the morning of the test and walked in to take it. Sorry I cannot be of more help with this.

Isn't America a wonderful place? Texas, too.....

There is an idiom that was used many eons ago, which is not well known today, but I would like to share it anyway -- people used to refer to those Americans among us who are a blend of many different peoples as "Heinz 57". This was based on the Heinz 57 Sauce, a steak sauce that got its name from having 57 different ingredients in it.

What other blends do we have on this site?

I'm a Floridian who is a result of a blend of an American father, whose parents were a Welsh grandfather and a German grandmother, and a mother who was a naturalized US citizen but originated from Nova Scotia, Canada, and whose father came from Scotland and mother came from Ireland.

Care to share your pedigree??? Me, I certainly qualify as a mut.

I'm quite a mix myself, of at least half a dozen different discernible ethnic backgrounds. However, two of those are in themselves amalgams of other discernible backgrounds. I cover almost all of the world's continents, and at least one island and am therefore of no particular race but that of mankind. Many people say I look Italian, Greek, Native American, Dominican, Armenian, Brazilian or Puerto Rican. Some of them are right hilarious

I'm quite the Heinz 57, to the point where I have no idea what all I have: if someone mentions an ethnicity I have just started to nod and say, "oh, I think I'm part that :p "

The ones I know for sure: Cherokee, German, Dutch, Irish, who knows what else.

OP,

I have to say your response was kind of rude. The guys you were dealing with weren't the ones who created the policy so why give them grief? They were just following orders and doing their job. Not a good idea to walk in the door and burn bridges right off the bat.

Look, I stand behind my response 100% and I respectfully disagree with your analysis of the situation. If it's your job to reach into my pocket and steal $50 from me, expect to be treated as such.

I don't see how you can be mad at the school for the cost, you're paying CLEP and DSST- the cc isn't asking for any of your money?
