Straighterline macro and micro study guide/book questions
#1
Has anyone taken these recently? I see the book they recommend but there is also a "study guide" version listed under the required texts. Do I need to order both of these? or should I say do you recommend i get both to pass?

Here is what it says:

Text: McConnell, Campbell R. and Stanley L. Brue. Macroeconomics: Principles, Problems, and Policies, 17th edition. McGraw-Hill, 2008. ISBN 9780073273082 [buy the text]

Study Guide: McConnell-Brue: Study Guide for use with Macroeconomics, 17th Edition. McGraw-Hill, 2008. ISBN 9780073273204

-------------------

Also, what are the time limits on these when working through? It shows a whole bunch of Quizes then a mid term and final. I was pressed for time in the last course.

Any other tips/study guides/etc would be appreciated. feel free to PM me as well.

Thanks

No you dont need the study guide at all. All you need is the book. I remember I found a great source of practice tests for that class at the class website of a teacher from the Fashion Institute of Technology, those practice tests were extremely useful for me. There is also an earlier version of the book available online for free at google books, however not the whole text is online. It was very helpful because it was searchable online so if i needed to find a concept quickly it was ready to use. Also use the practice tests from the publishers website. They are very similar to the actual SL tests. good luck

There are about 20 or so quizzes of 2 hours timed, and a midterm and final of 3 hours. The questions are reasonably straightforward and virtually come out of the book. So make sure you read the book.
