Straighterline TESU Pre Health Classes
#1
Does anyone know if the straighterline courses work for pre medical prerequisites, if I transfer them to TESU? I need Biology, Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. The other coursesi completed at a BM college.

Bad route to go, I suspect many if not most medical school's wont accept them. They DO look at the source of your pre med pre reqs and you would be behind your peers unless you absolutely destroyed the MCAT.  Many only accepted online labs during COVID. Online courses arent always the issue but a non-traditional/accredited ACE source likely would be.

Just take them a a CC. Most CCs do offer chem up to O Chem. Even UNE/Portage is a better option if you must do it online.

These are courses you dont want to half-a**

ACE/NCCRS or alternative credits should be used for general education, electives, and non-science classes... You should take all the sciences (Bio, Chem, Physics) from the community colleges or institutions mentioned on the WIKI.

https://portagelearning.edu/ can be an option. It depends on the school.

At nursing schools, Portage seems to be accepted at a decent number by its popularity, and I've only heard of a few schools that openly don't accept Portage.

The OP is aiming for medical school. Whether any medical school accepts Portage is unknown. Portage doesn't even target the medical school market; its course list omits some standard med school prerequisites, most notably a two-semester physics sequence with labs.

I would try to 'mix/match' the science classes with several community colleges as not all will have the classes required, but if you take what is available at each college, then add it up, you should have sufficient science classes to fit the prerequisites. I would only take classes from the more expensive universities, if the one or two classes are not available at any of the WIKI mentioned colleges.
