Hi Everyone,
I started another thread with a similar question, but I thought I would start another thread with just my main questions. Who scored below 50 on the practice tests (petersons and rea) and still passed the CLEP??? My average score is 42 on practice tests and I'm nervous. Please help me out by telling me your practice test scores for the college mathematics practice tests. Thank you so much!

I need last minute pointers!! I have been scoring about 42 on the practice tests and I realize that it is about a 50/50 chance that I pass. Any last minute pointers? Were any of you in the same boat? Please help!

Here's what I told some other guy the other day. Do this and ye shall improve thy score 5 pointes.
Quote:I found them to both be marginally more difficult than the real thing. You'll do fine!!! Just make sure you mark the nutcracker questions, answer all of the easy ones, and then take on the toughies you marked. Also, do a quick cram on the things that make for e-z points: set theory, combinations, permutations, complex numbers, dice/coinflip probability, simplifying radicals, and fractional/negative exponents and quadratics. Synthetic division, polynomial division, non-coinflip/dice based probabity, etc. are nice-to-knows but don't warrant the crammage based solely on possible points.

One other thing that I did just before the exam is to wiki Mathematical notation. It helped. I wouldn't have remembered absolute value or set union symbols without Wiki. Good luck, I hope this post is not too late to help.
