The transfer credit pre-evaluation is 100% accurate.
When they say no, it won't be accepted no matter what.
When they say yes, it will transfer if I get grade C or higher.
So Outlier is a bad gamble, not guaranteed transfer.
Why do you encourage people to try out bad gamble then?? LOL why don't you try with your own money?!!

Nothing is guaranteed transfer and no pre evaluation is 100% accurate either.
I trust Dfrecore on this one. She's helped thousands(if not tens of thousands) of students with transferring conventional and alternative credits and also does/did it for a living.

No, many of real RA courses are guaranteed to transfer to other institutions as long as they fit your degree program.
You can check the transferability with your academic advisor. When your academic advisor approves it, it will transfer.

There's someone on this forum who couldn't get a TEL course to transfer to a school because of similar circumstances to what nomaduser is describing. They HAD already taken the course and attempted to transfer it. So, while nomaduser's situation is atypical, it's not unheard of either.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

TEL learning offers many transcripting partners. You have a lot more chances. And all of their transcripting partners are offering course equivalencies. Their equivalent courses show up on their course catalog website and anyone can request PDF syllabus of the courses too.
Outlier courses don't have equivalent courses at Univ. at Pittsburgh.

Yes, the TEL issue is out there - and it's being asked of by someone that I know.
Yes - but nomaduser originally implied he tried to send courses on a transcript, which was a total lie. He did not take the course, did not get the course on a Pitt Transcript, and did not get the course rejected on that basis. He's trying to get a school to accept Outlier courses directly from Outlier's syllabus, which is not what you're supposed to do. He has absolutely no knowledge that Pitt won't transcribe the courses and give a syllabus for it. Zero.

I transferred TEL courses without any issue.
Please take the Outlier courses with your own money and time and tell us how they transfer to a traditional school.
There was a guy from NYU who couldn't transfer his old NYU courses credits because they're no longer listed on NYU catalogue and the transfer credit specialist at UMPI couldn't find any info about the courses.
Outlier courses don't show up on Univ. of Pitts course catalogue either. They're non-existing Univ. of Pitts courses.
If other people fail to transfer Outlier credits, please compensate them with your own money. Pay their 3 months of rent as well.

You can find old catalogs, schools are required to keep them forever. Syllabi are also required to be kept. I have called my old state school and gotten syllabi from 1988 with zero issues.

I've tried to transfer TESU MicroBachelor Computer Science Fundamentals course credits to a traditional school but failed.
I got a 'P' grade but that particular course wasn't included in TESU's catalogue.
'COS-104 Computer Science Fundamentals'
So this is a non-existing TESU course they give credit for when you complete MicroBachelor in Computer Science Fundamentals.
Traditional school rejected this credit because they coudln't find any course description on TESU website. Also, there was no course syllabus file they could find.
Here's TESU catalogue: https://www2.tesu.edu/listall.php
Outlier courses are similar because they're also giving credits for non-existing Univ. of Pitts courses.
Here's a sample Outlier course syllabus for Astronomy:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tB8EOqw...aMmTO/view
It has course number ASTRON 0085
That course number never shows up on Pitts catalogue site:
https://catalog.upp.pitt.edu/search_adva...match%5D=1
Fundamentals of Calculus I has MATH 6210
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nbnEvIc...DL6CJ/view
It doesn't exist in Pitts catalogue either:
https://catalog.upp.pitt.edu/search_adva...match%5D=1
Univ of Pitts don't have a course called 'Fundamentals of Calculus I' with course number MATH 6210.
All outlier courses are in this way. When you try to get them evaluated, there's very high chance that they won't transfer.
They can transfer only when the person who evaluates your course credits is really lazy at his/her work. If that person is too lazy enough to not search course number on university catalogue, then you're super lucky.
Credits from Oakton Community College, EA are going to transfer to traditional schools easily because their in-person version courses are already popular & listed on catalogue site.
