ACE is also sent electronically (at least, that's an option). It's pretty ridiculous for them to charge $15 for an automatic or semi-automatic email.
You aren't paying for an automatic or semi-automatic email. You are paying for the work that went into a process that allowed that email to be sent.
You are paying for the work that ACE put into developing their program; evaluating organizations, and having colleges accept their recommendations.
While it's annoying to pay the $15, I know that I am paying for the all of the steps that led to that email being generated.
Just another way to look at it........
You pay $15 for EVERY transcript though. That is an outrageous price for a transcript. Transcripts aren't what is funding ACE.
True enough. We can agree to disagree. Guidestar publishes ACE's Form 990 tax return because non profit tax returns are public. Under their college credit recommendation service, ACE spends five times as much on it than we pay them for transcripts.

It does not cost $15 to email a pdf of a transcript or even to print it out on a paper and put a 55 cent stamp on it to mail. This is the most expensive transcript I have and I have 8 of them. Sophia through Parchment is literally a third of the price.

I sent my transcript via Parchment on the 11th. TESU picked it up the same day. They took until yesterday to add a note to OSS. Way at the bottom. Where nobody looks.

I figured that was probably going to happen, but oh well. Taking 2 weeks to add that note is a bit silly, though.
