I am loving Shmoop, knocked off 9 credits in the last few days (both US Histories and bible as literature - I'm a history buff

).. Has anyone successfully transferred in the Shmoop math courses to TESU and know what they come in as? If so, which ones would I need for the BSBA in GM?

I don't know, but congrats
European History is supposed to be easier than either of the U.S. History courses. I think I read of someone doing it in half a day.

Have you taken the courses at ALEKS? If so, they'll duplicate everything, further to that, the only two courses that won't duplicate is the Geometry and Finite Math.
If you need the math credits and haven't taken anything yet, take them all. If you've taken them at ALEKS, don't bother with anything but these two courses.

No one has - but if you're an enrolled student and ask them, and they give you equivalencies, please report back for us!

Getting off topic from my thread, but so far most of European History has A LOT of US History in it (on the quizzes anyway).. It's totally not EuroCentric.
Also, Shmoop has a certain worldview that seeps deeply into the question from a political and historical point of view.. I'll take the credits but man does it get me annoyed. It's a very weird set of test questions - some random facts of little to no relevance, some broader questions, and some questions that are just very obvious political viewpoints in the frame of a question.

How would you describe the viewpoint? Just curious.

I will start off by saying I didn't read a lot of the material as I have pretty good knowledge of most of US History, so this comes from mostly the test questions. But the tone certainly struck me as deeply apologetic for past events , and a lot of the stuff phrased around the Reagan era certainly sounded like they were written by someone who didn't particularly identify with trickle down economics, to say the least.
Or there was another question having to do with why the american melting pot would seem foreign to modern Americans and I believe the correct answer had to do with multiculturalism.. Last time I checked the melting pot was still alive and well..

Aha. Interesting. Melting pot vs. salad bowl, I remember having to write an essay about that in my English honors class in high school while growing up in Germany. (Sorry to derail the thread. Homeschoolmom out)

TESU wrote back (I'm already admitted because I need to do the strategic management TECEP)
The Shmoop University courses will transfer as follows:
Mathematics I= MAT-115 Intermediate Algebra
Mathematics II= MAT-121 College Algebra
Mathematics III= MAT-129 PreCalculus
So I still need to Aleks or something else for the stats, right?

The topic of slavery seems to overwhelm the American History courses. While I recognize that slavery was nasty, it didn't figure in most people's lives, even in the South.
