Here are the credit values according to ACE:
American Literature 3 LL literature
British Literature 3 LL humanities
Contemporary Literature 3 LL humanities
Drugs in Literature 3 LL literature
Holocaust Literature 3 LL humanities
Introduction to Poetry 3 LL literature
Literature in the Media 3 LL humanities
Modernist Literature 3 LL humanities
Shakespeareâs Plays 3 LL humanities
Bible as Literature 3 LL literature
Western Literature 3 LL literature
Womenâs Literature 3 LL literature
Excelsior and Charter Oak will accept these as lower level, but TESU might accept some of them as upper level.
TESU might be different, but really who knows at this point? When I ran them through the TESU PLA database a few months ago, these were the closest credit values:
Shmoop (College)/ [TESU PLA Database]
American Literature (College)/ [American Literature LIT-205]
British Literature (College)/ [English Literature LIT-208]
Contemporary Literature (College)/ [Contemporary Fiction ENG-387]
Drugs in Literature (College)/ [probably an ENG- or LIT-299 or -399]
Holocaust Literature (College)/ [The Holocaust I ENG-301]
Introduction to Poetry (College)/ [Poetry I ENG-246]
Literature in the Media (College)/ [closest was Literature and Film ENG-347]
Modernist Literature (College)/ [probably an ENG- or LIT-399]
Shakespeare's Plays (College)/ [Shakespeare I LIT-320]
The Bible as Literature (College)/ [Biblical Literature I LIT-242]
Western Literature (College)/ [Literary Works in Western Culture LIT-202]
Women's Literature (College)/ [Women in Literature LIT-323]
TESU might use those values, or they might decide to use lower-level prefixes.
At any rate, woohoo for having more English options!
BA, MA, EdS, MMT, etc.

so 87 bucks and all I can get credits for a month. Sounds like a pretty solid deal.
I need to get into this business and start my own company!
I need a 3 credit Gen Ed course at TESU. Any recommendations on quickest ones? English is my strong suit. *i was looking at study.com history of Vietnam because it has only 46 quizzes and a placement test http://study.com/academy/course/history-...ourse.html
or this course http://study.com/academy/course/human-gr...ourse.html
but I am not entirely sure if these will count
You think these courses would benefit me if I am contemplating a writing related masters? I want to writing or info sec. opposite ends of the spectrum it seems

Thanks for sharing about Shmoop! I think I will look into them. Those are definitely some unique offerings.
Some of the Education courses on Study.com are quick too. In my opinion, those would be easier to learn than history of Vietnam. I went through Foundations of Education- it is interesting and has like 70 lessons. It is mostly the history of American education. Education 105 has like 40 lessons, I believe it is something like History of Special Education. Classroom Management also looks fairly short.

This could bring the TESU BA English major into play if five of these counted as UL.

Contemporary Literature (College) going to start working on this one today. Looks like possibly the shortest one. I'll report back when I know more.

No luck with this one. I'm sure its easily doable if you put in enough time. This one will not be completable in time I don't think. Appears you really have to read the literature or at least the chapters of it that is provided. If anyone finds one that can be done relatively quickly please let me know. I have until Nov 5th to complete one of these courses.

Is there one that you have previous knowledge about? Poetry, Bible, Digital Media perhaps?
I have to admit, after cruising through those syllabi, it would have been worth it to me to just take the CLEPs for American and British Lit and get 12 hours for them at TESU.
BA, MA, EdS, MMT, etc.
83 hours of ACE-worthy credits
