***I moved this thread from the Big 3 Forum to the more appropriate area***
I come seeking guidance! I am currently enrolled in Columbia College of Missouri and have 75 credits (depending on military credits and program) and my Associates degree (General Education) through Columbia College with business classes. Am I to far along in my journey to try and jump in the express lane to a Bachelors Degree? Any guidance on the quicker route would be amazing, im ready to be done. Attatched is current credits and at the bottom is probable credits from TESC from military training. Everyone has been awesome so far! Thank you!
It is never too late to switch to one of the Big 3!
I am not as well versed in EC and COSC degree plans, but I can help you with TESU.
If you want to continue on with the BSBA (assuming that since you got an ASBA):
IF you go with TESU, you will unfortunately lose about 18cr because TESU's business degree does not have space for some of your courses. But, it may still be the cheaper way to go, because of the ability to test out of the capstone (Strategic Management).
Someone else can probably help you compare to COSC's business degree, which you should definitely look at. They will accept more of your credits than TESU, but will require more UL courses than TESU as well, plus you will have to take the cornerstone and capstone. COSC and TESU are usually pretty close in price, but if COSC accepts 18 more credits than TESU, that may make COSC the most sense.
If you don't care about a business degree, and want to get a BALS:
You may lose 9cr, but because of the price of the capstone online course, you still will pay more, about $900 - this is the price of the online course, less 6 courses you don't have to take at an average of $100/course.
I'm including degree plans for both the BSBA and BALS, so you can compare.

Thanks for the awesome degree program layout, those are two awesome ideas. Obviously not the most efficient when you lose credits but I figured I would have to take a hit somewhere in the credit department. I wonder if I still get the reduced course fee for military in regards to the capstone for the BALS degree? I would love to hear from someone in regards to the COSC route just to keep some more credits.

Active duty military is $250/cr, so yes, a big reduction in price.
Also, if you're active duty, you may want to switch as many courses as possible to CLEP/DSST, which are free to you. That would be awesome, and I can help you with that if you'd like.

Hard to pass on the help, if its not a pain I wouldn't mind. Just gives me a few more routes to explore.

Well, being in the military just saved you a boatload of money. Of course, I think that some of these courses will take a while to study for - longer than if you decided to take a course through SL or Study.com - but a boatload of cash in your pocket is never a bad thing!
The new cost of the:
BSBA is $2723, saving you $2075!
BALS is $3148, saving you $2550!
Totally worth doing in my estimation.
I didn't rename the spreadsheet for either uploads, so while they both refer to the BSBA, I have the BALS as a 2nd sheet in there.
Good luck!

Now that is awesome! Thanks for the help with that. I am with you in that I would rather take SL or study.com on some classes just for speed sakes. ..... Now if only I could find a COSC rep like this I would be in heaven. Trying to salvage as many credits as possible.

Don't be surprised, you might find one as members of the forum have had amazing experience with the COSC cs reps, but @dfrecore has always shared her knowledge with the forum constantly.

Everyone has been awesome, it takes time to help with degree planning and knowing shortcuts. This forum has been a tremendous help so far. I wouldn't mind trying to work some of the COSC stuff out myself, do I just look up thier testable items and try to find a degree plan to plug and play? Or is thier more of a science to it that I am not seeing ?

I think the main thing is figuring out which course count for what. Until you start to know them well, it's hard to know that Intro to Computers will come into TESU in the "Understanding the Physical and Natural World" area, but that it definitely will not count as a science at COSC, for instance. It's just a little tricky. But once you figure out what counts where at a particular school, then you can figure more and more things out at that school.
And, remembering that what applies at one school may not apply at the next. So when you figure out one, moving to the next, you're practically starting from scratch.
Oh yeah, and unless you have a ginormous spreadsheet like I do (almost 1000 lines) where it lists every course for most sources on this forum, and the course equivalency at TESU, and whether it's ACE or NCCRS recommended, and the number of credits, and where it applies, and notes...well, it's hard to know what all the options are for fulfilling a requirement.
You would need a totally separate spreadsheet for COSC, and a different one from EC, and then understanding their equivalencies, and keeping track of the course numbers...it's a lot of work. Which is why I only know 1 school well (and I suspect this may be the case for most of the people on here).
