Schools that accept ACE credits and allow 90cr in transfer

As a recommendation, if you have access to AP/CLEP/DSST exams for free or a discount, you may want to take those over ACE and NCCRS providers.
This is how it should be:  College or University courses and challenge exams > evaluated foreign credits > AP/CLEP/DSST > ACE > NCCRS
Below is just a list of Big 3 and Brandman/WGU and what they accept as of November 2020...

This seems sticky-worthy. Actually, getting an updated version of this every year would be nice! I have a group of teens I am currently trying to help with finishing HS and gaining college credits. This is really perfect for getting them to look at college options.

Question- Study.com isn't in the directory link from TESU, do they still accept credits from SDC?

I'd also add to WGU: no degree has free electives, degrees are 25-30% GE and 70-75% major, some degrees require more than 30cr that must be taken at WGU

There are additional schools that we could list that take 90cr of transfer, I have 11 of them: CSU-Global, Franklin University, Granite State College, Liberty University, SNHU, SUNY-Empire, University of Maryland Global Campus, Upper Iowa University, Wilmington University, Purdue University Global, AMU/APU.

It doesn't seem like that list is conclusive- isn't Ed4credit already gone? I would hope that study.com credits are still accepted as I'm working on them now...

Study.com was on the list, though. That's what makes it scary. I would suggest working on any ULs at SDC first and getting them done before January 1st, if possible, just in case. I was going to take a break but it looks like I've got to do my SDC UL CS credits ASAP in case they're planning on rejecting SDC credits from now on. Sigh.

Good luck transferring 90 credits to WGU! Not the easiest place to transfer a ton of credit to. But since it's CBE, you can go at your own pace and you pay one flat rate for the 6 month term. That is a huge bonus.

That is a bit of a loaded statement. Degree planning for WGU can actually be more straightforward and predictable than TESU in some ways since the list of credits they accept changes less frequently and transfer equivalencies are published and updated quickly when they do change. You can easily transfer in the max available credits for your degree if you're using credit providers that have articulation agreements with WGU (such as Study.com and Straighterline) and you stick to the courses that have established transfer equivalencies.

Of course, if you're trying to transfer courses from other colleges or alternative ACE providers, then yes, it can be a bit of hit or miss. It is important to understand that a transfer course will not always fulfill the same competencies as a WGU course just because it is similarly-named. This is usually what gets most people upset when they don't see the credits they expect.

The other rub is that WGU has some odd courses that are fairly unique to the school and are very unlikely to be transferred in. I just add those to the list of nontransferable credits for the degree when coming up with the list of courses to take.

One thing to note about AMU/APU is that they limit "non-traditional" credit transfers to 60 for a Bachelor's degree.
