Thanks for everyone's comments, prayers, and support. It is very appreciated.
We had a conference call with the State Department and it seems like Russia is going to stand behind their law and not let adoptions go forward. We were hoping we would be grandfathered in, since we actually met the boys, but it looks like that will not happen. This process is starting to finalize and as of now, we will not get the boys.
It has been a long road. We are saddened by this, but we were expecting and trying to prepare for this outcome. The Lord knows and will see us through.
Realization is starting to sink in... It is hard, because we are these children's last hope.
Continuing to claim Romans 8:28..."And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." Life does not always turn out, the way we plan or hope, but He is faithful.

I am so sorry to hear this. My heart is broken for you and your family. You will continually be in my prayers through this tough road ahead! Are they saying that there is no way the decision could change or is there still a chance?

Yes, that is what they are saying. We know the Lord is always capable...but it looks like Thad and Luke will stay in Russia. We don't even know if the boys are still there for us to adopt...we have heard that Russia has put some families' children back on the adoption list, making them unavailable for adoption. It's heartbreaking.
What is so hard, is that our boys knew we were coming back for them. They have a photo album with our pictures and understood that we were going to be their new family.
Thanks for the prayers...this affects so many families.

I'm really sorry to hear that! I had really been thinking that it would've worked out, with so many people opposed to the implications of the law.
