Hi, I'm Taylor (a.k.a "TayTay" on the forum)!
I have a special prayer need...
My family is trying to adopt two precious boys (brothers) from Russia. We waited two years for our referral and were matched on October 24th! We traveled to Russia, over Thanksgiving, and got to meet our brothers/sons-to-be! A few days before Christmas, we recieved news of the "proposed" adoption ban, haulting all Russian adoptions from then on out. As most "news watchers" know, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the ban, after Christmas. We are still unsure what this exactly means, but for now, our adoption is totally stopped and they have closed the country to all future adoptions. You can find a lot about it, online. It is very devasting, but we are trusting in the Lord. There are 46 children (two of them, are ours) that have already met their prospective parents and were matched with their families. We are praying that there will be a loophole, allowing these children to come home.
I know that is a lot, but it is, also, kind of vague. We are just waiting to see what the Lord will do. We have had several opportunities to share our story through newspaper articles, local tv, and even national news. We are praying God will use this for His glory and His name will be lifted up!
I ask that fellow believers pray that the Lord's Will will be accomplished and that Thad and Luke will be able to come "home" to NC!
Sorry for the ramblings! Thanks so much!
