I almost bought an REA book with CD-ROM last night. However, I checked the tech-specs and discovered they do not support MAC computers. NO SALE! If you can't support such a popular OS, especially among students and the young, then no business from me.

Is there any emulators for Mac than can run Windows programs? Linux has WINE, for example...

Not on my MAC. Go to any college campus and take a look at the computers being used. Drop by my area, DFW, and go to ANY of the Apple stores and take a look at the line waiting to get in the door. If either of these two items do not send a message, then NO business from me.
Holy schmoly!!! Talk about missing the boat!

Yeah, REA is only hurting itself with no Mac support.
But it is understandable up to a point, because Microsoft has what, 70-85% of the computer market?

That is frustrating. But I think REA's Testware is overrated. All it is generally is the tests in the book - but in computer form. Hardly worth the extra ten dollars! Peterson's CDs are much better in this aspect - they actually contain
additional tests!
Hope it works out for you with or without REA,
R.

I took a quick scan through the book while in the store and did not see any information that I can't easily get elsewhere. I will use Peterson's and research the main items I saw covered.

I couldn't even get the testware to install on my PC! And attempting to seems to have given me a .dll conflict -- but the books are worthwhile for some subjects (A&I Lit and Natural Science in particular). It's just a shame that it seems to be getting harder to get the books without the CD.

While I did like the REA book for A&I Lit quite a bit, I do agree that you can do without it, especially since you have access to the Peterson's tests.
Just brush up on those
literary terms! I have to do it again...but for the Literature in English GRE.
