Lake City Community College is listed as one of Straighterline's partner schools.
Does anyone know if it works as well as Fort Hays State College?
Does Lake City list grades for Straighterline courses? Would Excelsior list the grades?
Is the cost prohibitive?
I've not seen Lake City mentioned on the board so far....
Thanks,
Kelly

How about clarifying this comment.....sorry but this OF (old fart) does not always get things the first time around. Obviously I have not seen the CNBC cult special and would like to know more.
When driving out of the State of Florida, Lake City is kind of a spot on the map that we strive to make at minimum in the first day, because it is only a hop, skip, and jump from the Georgia border. This is a v-e-r-y long state.
When I was last there, it was just a rather large intersection / stop on the highway.

Lol not an old fart just wiser.
There is a cult problem obviously in the United States not a big one or drastic one but a problem. None the less, Lake city made the headlines because they have one of the largest cults that is hidden behind religion.
They have this thing where all the higher ups have to drive caddy's and they have three palm trees in formation in their yards and then creepy stuff that they went into on CNBC.
Anyway I just saw the name and got creeped out because I almost made the family move there.

Peace you are one of the fastest people on this forum with quick info and answers. I wish we had a reputation button here to give out bumps to people that deserve it.
Yes that is the cult that you provided in those links.
Anyway just wanted to give credit where credit is due...

Thanks for bringing me up-to-date on the Lake City issues. I was not aware of these particular problems and this particular group.
Here in South Florida we have some many of our own wacky groups. I guess this one flew under my radar. We have so many different cultures and cults that it is hard to keep up....voo doo, santaria, animal sacrifices, marijuana as a religious implement in one such cult, desicrated burial grounds, etc.
But then again, we have so many wonderful and interesting people who comply with the norms that it over-rides everything else but you do have to be aware and be careful of where you live if you have children.
Again, thanks. I'll keep that information in mind, even if just passing through.

It doesnt work as well as FHSU. It is only good for Lake City College. I talked to a lady from the registrars office and she told me that once you register for a class with them they will transcrit the SL class as lets say you took English Comp I.. English 101 - Articulation credit. The same lady told me if "I was the registrar of a college I wouldnt take the class for transfer credit"
FHSU is still the best option. Id love to finish my degree there if they accepted more SL classes and if they took ACE credits
