I'm pursuing a BSBA from TESU in both Accounting and CIS. I am also planning to add on an ASNSM in Computer Science and a cert in Organizational Leadership. I haven't decided if I want to pursue a CPA, but would like to keep the option open, so if possible I would like to try and graduate with 150 credits since that's a requirement (I'm in NJ). Curious if anyone knows how credits might be distributed? For example, will my CIS area of study credits come in as electives on my Accounting and vice versa? Will both AOS use the same electives because they're essentially one degree? Will my Org Leadership credits be in addition to? Trying to see if 3 AOS will get me to the 150 mark. If none were duplicated, I believe I would finish with around 162 credits. I anticipate having a bunch of extra, unused credits but hoping to find a way to use 150. If my assumptions are right, I might only end up using 138, but maybe I'm wrong.

Count each class separately. As a quick 'n dirty way to do it:
Gen Eds - 45 credits
Business Core - 42 credits
Accounting AOS - 18 credits
CIS AOS (no overlap) - 18 credits
ASNSM (some overlap with BSBA CIS, so only count credits that aren't used in the CIS) - ~9-12, maybe?
Org. Leadership - 12 or 15 credits that aren't used elsewhere, I think?
Electives - 0 credits (the AOS of one degree will be used as electives for another)
Strictly speaking, I think that only gets you to 126 credits. If you've already completed a bunch of Sophia credits that aren't currently being used in any area except electives, go ahead and count those. Your TESU transcript won't show which classes were used for which degree. It'll only list all credits that you sent in.
If you go to the New Online Student Services portal and click on "Transfer Credit Summary", it'll give a list of everywhere you've transferred credit from (so far). Click the "V" arrow to get an actual list. Add up the "Equivalent Credit Total" in each section to get your total number of transfer credits. I'm personally currently sitting at 153 transfer credits.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

Thanks! I had a feeling that might be the case. Appreciate the tip about the transfer credit summary. Just checked and currently at 102, but will definitely use that in the future after transferring more over.

Hmm... Pretty much the 138 credits, plus whatever else you want to get in terms of the certificates, associates, or a second bachelors. You can add an operations management cert to your organizational leadership entirely through alternative credits, you'll be just missing one course - operations management. Heck, if you have enough credits for a cert in something else, add those as well, including the ones you have for the AOS, the cert in accounting, cert in CIS, it's all 'paid for' from your first associates/bachelors.

Thanks for the advice! I’ll definitely do some exploring to see if there’s anything else I’m interested in.

The 150 credit requirement for CPA certification is fairly specific. You'll need most of those extra 30 units to be accounting or business. Your state may have slightly different requirements, but I think the same idea will apply.

In NJ you need 24 accounting credits and 24 business credits. The BSBA I’m getting has 42 business core and 18 area study accounting. But the business core includes intro to financial accounting and intro to managerial accounting which I would assume count as accounting and would be added to the 18 to get to 24. The rest of the 150 can be anything.
