Qualifi Level 7 Cyber — Grad Credit or Master’s
#1
I’m looking at the Qualifi Level 7 Diploma in Cyber Security because it’s way cheaper than doing full grad courses in the US.

Does anyone know if a NACES evaluation can turn that Level 7 diploma into graduate-level credits that I could transfer to a US university?

Thanks for any info or real experiences.

Wlll share my input as I am currently completing a Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership for entry into a UK MBA.

Level 7 Diplomas are used mainly as transfer credits/entry qualifications to master's degree programs in the UK. A Level 7 Diploma in the UK consists of 60 ECTS and is equivalent to a Postgraduate Diploma, and therefore is not considered a finished Master's degree, thus it is often used for entry to complete a master's degree (to earn the remaining 30~ ECTS).

Qualifi Ltd Diplomas are regulated by the UK Government Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (OFQual). Thus UK Gov Regulated Diplomas are internationally recognized.

Level 7 by definition means at the level of a Master's degree, thus Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert), Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip), and Master's Degrees, are all considered to be within Level 7 in England, Wales, Northern Ireland, and within the European Qualifications Frameworks (EQF).
Scotland is a little different as the Scottish Qualifications Framework calls it a level 11.

Anyways, NACES members would generally recognize a UK Level 7 Qualification to be within the US Graduate level.

The question isnt' so much if NACES will recognize it (because they do recognize it). The real question becomes, what US school is willing to take the Level 7 Diploma as "transfer credits" towards one of their programs?

That will depend soley on the school and program that you want to apply for.

Why not take the level 7 and seek university progression into a Master's degree program in the UK?  UK Master's degrees tend to be very affordable and have global recognition.

Thanks! The RA school said it just needs to be RA graduate-level credits with grades, so I assume if it’s equivalent, they might accept it.
