This is difficult to answer because every degree program is different. When you say "study" in relation to PUG, my understanding is that it's mostly research and writing - a lot of writing. Your speed of completion will greatly depend on how quickly you can write papers that will earn a passing grade. Personally, I would be very slow in this type of system, even though I'm relatively fast at exam-based CBE. However, if this appeals to you, and you think you'll be successful at it, then you will want to put together a degree plan. Include everything you want to transfer and everything you would take at PUG, then do research about those PUG courses, and finally ask specific questions about the PUG courses to fill in gaps and get a better sense of what your experience will be like. Ultimately, you will be the judge of how much work it will take and how quickly you can progress.

Thanks for the degree plan update
I am currently enrolled in their BS IT exceltrack program (1st term, March 22 intake, willing to graduate in two terms), and was willing to transfer the PHP W3 certificate to replace 7 courses.
Does anyone know if the new changes to the degree plan would only apply to new students or would they affect enrolling students as well?

For PUG specifically, they're on the quarter credit system, so you need something like 45 quarter credits instead of 30 semester credits after a 75% credit transfer. At most universities, this doesn't make a difference. Each quarter-based class would be worth about 5 quarter credits. However, PUG breaks each of these classes up into 1-credit chunks. Each of these chunks requires at least one paper and/or project. It's a LOT of work. Some people love it. Others, not so much. 

If you absolutely need an IT degree, vs Comp Sci, PUG will be the cheapest and possibly easiest way to do this, but only if you are able to write papers quickly. If you cannot write quickly and/or if a Computer Science degree would work just as well, you should look elsewhere.

Someone on the forum said the Capstone is no longer on a fixed schedule, so maybe you could complete 8 courses in one term now.  (not confirmed)

How fast you can finish will come down to how fast you can write and how much information you already know.

I'm pretty sure with talking with PUG recently (I'm starting in early June) that the capstone is still on a fixed schedule. What HAS changed, though, is that you can now take the capstone in the same term as other classes. That said, I think it's hard to imagine you would be able convince PUG to sign you up for the capstone right off the bat in the first term, having not passed any other classes before. So I would say the reasonable minimum is two terms for a BS IT.

It's hard to keep up with the changes on some of the schools.

I do know going back 2 years, according to this Reddit post, that they allowed you to take the capstone along with other courses considering you were down to your last 1 or 2 courses.

@soren0129, since your previous posts didn't have the template/addendum information, it's hard to pinpoint how fast you can get the degree even if you transfer in the 75% and only have the remaining 25% left to do. Each person has their own commitments, energy, time, and scenario differs, you can try cramming, but I'd suggest two terms tops.

Having said that, in general, it would take someone at the least two terms to complete the requirements if they absolutely know the subjects well enough and have no commitments at all, for those who have a job and/or family, it would take at least another term, and those who are fresh in that subject matter, it'll take longer. Still waiting one way or the other on official word regarding the W3 PHP credit (beyond Database Concepts and Advanced Database Concepts, which I was given credit for). But one new thing in the PUG BS IT requirements to our advantage: Instead of having to take IT133: Microsoft Office Applications on Demand, which required four Microsoft Office Specialist certifications to get outside credit for, you can now instead take IT153: Spreadsheet Applications, which only requires the Microsoft Office Specialist: Excel certification for outside credit. I was officially granted it on my degree plan today, so I can verify that it works.

So that would be 9 courses you would have to take at PUG for the Software Development concentration.

If you wanted the IT Management concentration, then you need the CompTIA CySA+ cert and 8 courses at PUG.
