Prior Learning Assessment for Coopersmith Courses?

It's possible that they're going to stop accepting Coopersmith/NCCRS courses directly. Remember last year, ashkir was posting on here about how an advisor was insisting that the limit was 90 TOTAL alternate credits and we were telling him how the advisor was mistaken/wrong. Lo and behold, January rolls around and ashkir's experience became a reality for everyone.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA

Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

It would be AWFUL if they were going to force people to complete a PLA for NCCRS courses. PLAs are a pain and very time consuming. Really not worth it quite often. I wonder why the NCCRS providers aren't also ACE approved. It seems like so few schools accept NCCRS that it would be worth their while to become ACE approved as well.

I agree that it would certainly be a pain if they forced people to PLA credit from NCCRS sources. It's a hassle and it's pretty expensive in comparison to just transferring the credits directly. Fingers crossed that we don't see that happen at TESU.

The issue has been resolved. Thanks everyone for their input. The advisor mistakenly thought I asked to do PLA for the courses, which was incorrect.
