Just spoke to ASCP. They only require that the credits be listed as a course given by the college. It’s my understanding that when you transfer the credits, they turn them into their own course number. Am I correct? She also said that Labs were not required. But if course I’ll taken them if they help add up to the 12 credits. So I’ll need to see how TESU awards credits from CLEP. I agree that getting an Associates in Bio is preffereable to the general or even just 60 credits. But I wouldn’t mind the general.

Unfortunately, that's not a clear answer at all. The courses are shown on the TESU transcript as being CLEP or ACE, with their TESU equivalency. They are not shown as if you had taken them from TESU. If I had to judge based only on that answer, I'd say you need to get them from an RA school.

Here’s a quote from another post on here. It’s a photo of a transcript from TESU. I think this mean that it will say how I got it, but the course name will still be what TESU gives.

on my transcript, courses from other schools show up under the names that the original school had them as, but for ACE/NCCRS credit, it shows the name that TESU accepted them as, not the name the ACE/NCCRS provider used. Make sense?

That sounds a little more hopeful. The transcript certainly does show BIO or CHEM, a course number and a number of credits. If they are happy with that, then I think you're OK.

I will add that if you do opt for the TESU ASNSM Biology it will require Bio I & II with lab, so the CLEP will not work (as there is no lab credit for the CLEP). Now you could CC just the Bio I and II w/lab and then CLEP the Chemistry, test out option the rest.  I'm a course short myself in the ASNSM Biology which is why I am so familiar with it, its on my eval (I work in Tech Project Mngt, so not a career builder degree for me - that is the only reason I'm not adding it to my 2018 graduation - I need my bachelor to be done to work in my MBA-IT)

You can get Bio 1 lab through a couple ACE sources such as Study.com and a few others. Bio 2 lab, however has no alternative credit/test source. People who have pursued that, used either NMJC or their local CC.

You can also do your labs through TESU. They are 1cr courses, so if you have the Study.com affiliation, they are $366. I don't think there's an extra fee for the lab kit like SL would have. Not sure how this compares to NMJC, but I do know that it's faster (12 weeks instead of 16).

For some reason, Rio Salado has Chem I & II Labs as stand-alone 1cr courses separate from the 3cr lecture , but that's not the case for Physics I & II which only have the option of taking them as 4cr courses. And they don't even have Bio I & II - how can you have Chem & Physics I & II, but not Bio I & II???

EDIT TO ADD: Just looked at NMJC, and they have Bio I w/Lab for the 1st half of the semester, and Bio II w/Lab as the 2nd half of the semester if you wanted to do them in an accelerated format (they also have full semester courses).

Ed4Credit currently has a $25 coupon code: Sunshine2018. These coupons can normally be used on the $65 biology and chemistry standalone labs. The lab kits are $98 each. This is a good option if online labs are okay.

And in combination with the chat box, you're going to be good with CLEP biology and CLEP chemistry on a TESU transcript - assuming you can pass them They are both 6 credit exams and considered very tough.
