Study.com was generous to give me a free month of membership for some promotion offer they were doing for former members regarding employers and tuition reimbursement. I decided to use it to take Business 107: Organizational Behavior, a class I may or may not need for an upcoming goal I might be working on (I still haven't decided 100% on this). It's uncertain if the class is even necessary for this goal, and it most likely won't be, so that took a lot of pressure off of me and stopped me from taking this course too seriously.
That said, I powered through the course over this weekend, while still not cutting into any holiday celebrations. I made sure to get 100% on all of the quizzes, but some of those videos i literally watched at 3x speed (and wouldn't you know it, those are the problem areas I had on the final! what a coincidence :p ). I was doing it at a pace that I really wasn't retaining much. Part of that was because of the course being free and therefore not much risk to me if I failed, part of it was me probably not actually having need for the course even if I passed, and part was because the subject matter was a lot more boring than the Psych courses I took with them (I don't know how you business folks do it)! I wouldn't recommend doing this, of course. I wasn't being a responsible student.
I wanted to do well on the quizzes so I only needed 55% on the final, but I actually ended up with 85% on the final anyway! It's kind of a testament to Study.com's system that I was able to pick up on the material even when I wasn't too motivated to learn it. It's still pending proctor review and all that, which will probably take a while, but I submitted it to ACE already anyway to see how fast I can get it on the transcript.
If you're motivated to learn the material and like the subject, I'm sure you can easily handle this course. I like the changes Study.com has made since I last took a course there in March. I like the quizzes now being counted toward your grade, and I **love** the instant preliminary score on the final exam. For those curious, it was 121 videos/quizzes.
I don't need anything in particular for the second exam of the month. Any one know of one of the easier, shorter courses they have? Maybe I'll go the lazy route hilarious

I just took the Digital Marketing course they have and finished it in 2 days. Barely studied, it was a very easy course that you could pass just on basic social media knowledge.

Nice work, this course is in my AOS plan for the future. I listen to most videos at 2.5x speed but sometimes I need to slow the videos spoken by women down to 2x. Their words tend to smush together more to my ears than the men's videos. I am working my way towards training my brain and ears to catch up to 3x videos. I really like the Study format as well and don't really have any complaints about their system anymore. The new instant grade is awesome along with the $70 extra exams. The only change I would like to see them make is to transfer the course completion right to TESU like SL lets you. I really love that they listen to us here on the forum and have made some great changes since I started in August. I will definitely be using their system for my son as he heads into his middle school years to start gaining some ACE credits. There's not a doubt in my mind he would pass their History courses since he is obsessed with all types of History.
If you just want a fast course, the fastest I've done is History to Vietnam War 108. It's only like 35 quizzes with no project. Also, it's UL which is awesome. That's really cool that they gave you a free month.

ndelcollo, I'm pretty sure you're the one who gave me the idea to use a Chrome plugin to control Study.com video speed, so i thank you for that! It's certainly helpful! If it wasn't you, thanks to whoever it was!

I think I have talked about it on here before, but someone else mentioned it in a post and that's where I got the idea from. I don't remember who it was though. It is really fun to watch videos at 2.5x with my son or if my wife is in the room and then see what they pick up and watch their minds scramble lol. You definitely need to train your brain to be able to actually understand what you are hearing at the faster speeds (well I do). I hate that I can't find a good app for my iPad to do the same thing. I don't always want to have to use my laptop to be able to speed up the videos.

Yeah, when I switched over to my tablet, I was trained for the higher speed and the videos seemed so slow that it was impossible to pay attention, so I mostly just skimmed the readings at that point.
Out of curiosity, what is the turnaround time like these days for proctoring review? When I took my previous courses months back, they were back to me in 3-5 days I think, but I think I've seen some folks frustrated with longer waits lately?

It really depends. I've been trying to figure out their system and have yet to do it. I've tried to play around with when I apply through ACE for the credit and things like that. Sometimes I'll apply immediately, sometimes I will apply later in the afternoon hoping they have cleared out a bunch of proctors in the morning. I took an exam a week ago and it was approved into my ACE account the next day. Sometimes I've waited a week or so. I've yet to wait for two weeks like some people have so I hope I don't jinx it. For me it is usually about 3-5 days. I took an exam late at night on Christmas and I am expecting a longer wait because of the days off.

Org Behavior will count towards a BSBA, management or HR course, and it will also count as PSY-361 if you're not a business major, all UL. So it might be useful in some way.

I'm not planning on a BSBA, and already have my pysch BA, but it would definitely work in this way for anyone else interested. It's a very useful course, in that sense.

Just received the email that ACE has approved the credit. So that was much quicker than I anticipated with the holidays. It really seems like Study has improved their approval times in the last month or so.
