I just passed Intro to Statistics through Aleks after starting it only two days ago. Needless to say I'm very tired of standard distributions. The word problems were amusing, though. Why exactly is Archie going to a country where 40% of the population has already died of a pandemic?
Anyway, I was wondering if there is any benefit to taking more than one type of Algebra (beginning, intermediate, and college). One will probably go to gen. ed. but can the other two go to electives?

Sure, they're called free electives for a reason. I would do intermediate and beginner at least. I spent 40 on statistics then I passed intermediate with initial assesment. I didn't do beginner b/c I took college math clep, but I'm sure its easier. My brother did college algebra and it was not pretty. It may be worth doing the initial assesment and seeing where you land though.

I think I'll take your advice and see how far I can get. I think I might be able to do College Algebra because I just got done with Pre-Calc as well as statistics but we'll have to see.

KyleH if you just completed pre-calc then do college algebra with trig, you will thank me later  ....Rmroberts is correct college algebra is much more difficult, not sure I understand why. It should be the opposite but whatever. They both transcribe as MAT-121 @ TESC.
Edit to Add: Feedback update - If you have already completed pre-calc or calc and need another course for credit College Algebra with Trigonometry is the way to go. BUT, otherwise, take the regular College Algebra. Seems these courses are always evolving...(or maybe I am, not sure) but ALEK-004 is now more difficult than ALEK-003. Maybe it was just me and I understood the matrix and functions stuff better than most and the college algebra course in order to (I assume) carry as much weight as alegebra w/trig went deeper into the algebraic concepts and the other remained true to college level algebra with a heavy dose of trig. Well now, ALEK-004 is much heavier. Just wanted to correct my previous statement.

I know I thought the same. Take the College Algebra with Trig...get it on your transcript then if you have time remaining switch over to College Algebra for giggles. You'll see....not so much giggles....more pain! I kept thinking to myself this is supposed to be basic algebra, in my opinion it is more in line with precalc/calculus).
I am not a math major this is only my opinion, YMMV. You guys may find the problems much easier.

I'm not a math major either. So it looks like I'll be doing basic Algebra, then intermediate Algebra, then College Algebra WITH Trig.
Is there any advantage to having it without trig if you have it with trig as well?

No, not at TESC because they duplicate:
ALEK-0003 - MAT-121 - College Algebra (TESC dupl 003/004)
ALEK-0004 - MAT-121 - College Algebra with Trigonometry (TESC dupl 003/004)
